Job summary

Illumio, a leader in ransomware and breach containment, offers a 12-week Product Security Internship in Sunnyvale, CA. You will join the product security team to review code securely, triage vulnerabilities, and build automation while gaining real-world exposure to Illumio’s platform and secure SDLC practices.

You must be enrolled in a BS/MS program in CS/SE/Cybersecurity with graduation expected Winter 2026/Spring 2027 and have experience with Python, Ruby, Go, or C++. On-site 4 days a week.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor's or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity or a related field with an expected graduation date in Winter 2026/Spring 2027.
• Coursework or project experience in secure coding, application security, or network security.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Ruby, Go, C++).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in secure code reviews and vulnerability triage.
• Develop security automation scripts and tools to streamline detection.
• Research emerging threats and mitigation strategies relevant to Illumio’s stack.
• Participate in threat modeling alongside experienced security engineers.
• Contribute to internal security documentation and best practices.
