Position Description

As a Product Sales Specialist, your role will be to build the Ferris Commercial Products brand awareness by demonstrating Ferris Commercial Zero Turn Mowers, Walk Behind Mower, Stand On Mowers, and Spreader Spraying equipment to Landscapers, Municipalities, School Districts, and Parks & Recreation Departments in the assigned area. You will also support local Ferris Power Equipment dealers and internal Ferris team members.

This position is remote and must be based in the territory, which includes: Georgia, Alabama, Florida Panhandle, South Carolina, Tennessee, Western North Carolina, and South Carolina. *Ideal candidates will be based in Atlanta, GA.*

Key Responsibilities
  1. Become a Ferris product subject matter expert, proficient in explaining features and benefits, and performing demonstrations to end users.

  2. Generate leads through various platforms including Instagram & Facebook, engaging landscapers and developing conversations that lead to demonstrations.

  3. Transport Ferris equipment using a pickup truck and landscape trailer to locations agreed upon with end users, allowing customers to experience the products firsthand.

  4. Work directly with Ferris dealers to develop territory knowledge and industry insights, and assist with sales and open house events.

  5. Participate in external events such as trade shows and fairs to promote the Ferris brand and products.

  6. Conduct training at Ferris dealerships, educating new employees on product features, benefits, and company procedures.

  7. Analyze market data to identify opportunities within the territory and develop strategies to improve Ferris's competitive performance.

  8. Attend the annual National Sales Meeting in Milwaukee and regional meetings as required.

Candidate Profile

You are a proactive individual who is passionate about learning, growth, and development. You enjoy interacting with potential customers and are self-motivated and ambitious.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • At least one year of experience in sales, customer service, retail, or related areas.

  • Valid Driver's License and ability to become DOT certified upon hire.

  • Ability to safely load, secure, and operate company trailers.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the landscaping industry.

  • Social media proficiency.
