Job summary

Tecomet in Lansing, MI is seeking a Sr. Quality Manager (Product Quality) to lead a critical quality function across two manufacturing facilities.

You will oversee the Quality Engineering team, drive cost of quality improvements, and champion quality-at-the-source initiatives to elevate product performance and customer satisfaction. The role requires strategic thinking, deep regulatory understanding, and strong cross-functional collaboration with NPI, Engineering, and Operations to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a Scientific discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar leadership role.
• Experience within a highly regulated manufacturing environment (medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace & defense, or automotive)

Responsibilities

• Lead Quality Engineering team and drive talent growth, capability building, and standardized ways of working.
• Own Product Quality performance, including Cost of Quality (CoQ) development, tracking, and optimization; enhance customer experience through quality excellence.
• Define and implement methods for product quality data capture and analysis to enable data-driven decisions.
• Develop and deploy Cost of Quality metrics at both business and manufacturing levels.
• Drive strategic quality planning with a strong focus on quality-at-the-source and proactive defect prevention.
• Act as primary interface between Quality Engineering team and key stakeholders (customers, NPI/Engineering, Manufacturing).
• Champion risk-based thinking, leveraging PFMEA as an embedded tool in operations.
• Serve as SME in process validation, structured problem solving, and change management in regulated environments.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to align quality objectives with broader business performance
