Job summary

International Flavors and Fragrances in Pryor, OK is seeking a laboratory technician to perform standardized tests, analyze materials, and support QA, R&D, and product development.

The role focuses on aseptic techniques, data accuracy, and compliance with GLP standards. Onsite, with a swing shift, you will contribute to a quality-driven, collaborative team environment and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, or related field preferred.
  • Experience working in a laboratory, quality control, manufacturing, food, ingredient, or related environment preferred.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and accurately perform standardized testing methods.
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory practices, sample handling, and aseptic techniques.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and computerized data management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality standards.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow safety, quality, and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform standardized laboratory tests to support quality assurance, research, product development, and application innovation.
  • Analyze raw materials and finished products in accordance with established testing procedures and specifications.
  • Conduct routine equipment verification and perform basic maintenance to ensure accurate and reliable testing results.
  • Ensure proper identification, handling, storage, and traceability of all laboratory samples.
  • Prepare reagents, media, and other laboratory supplies required for testing activities.
  • Apply basic aseptic techniques and laboratory best practices to maintain testing integrity.
  • Utilize the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and Microsoft Excel to accurately record, manage, and retrieve testing data.
  • Maintain laboratory housekeeping standards and complete sanitation activities according to the master sanitation schedule.
  • Support special projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and additional Quality Control activities while adhering to all safety and food safety requirements.
