Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino seeks a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to lead quality programs and production readiness in high-volume environments.

You will guide product design for manufacturability and partner with suppliers. The role requires a master’s in engineering management and at least 1 year of related experience, plus ability to analyze data (Tableau/JMP) and apply DOE, CAPA, and root cause analysis to reduce defects.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering Management or related field.
• 1 year of experience with PFMEA, SOPs, and validation protocols for product risk management.
• 1 year of experience with NPI and production readiness including validation plans with contract manufacturers.
• Experience using statistical analysis to assess production data and identify root causes.
• Knowledge of DOE, root cause analysis, CAPA, and technical failure analysis to investigate unit failures.
• Ability to communicate complex technical updates to executive teams.
• Experience driving continuous improvement by tracking MTBF and reducing faults.
• Apply mechanical and electrical engineering principles to resolve product issues.
• Evaluate electronic assembly processes and implement new manufacturing technologies.
• Use data forensics and tools like Tableau and JMP to resolve quality issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide early and ongoing manufacturing involvement to ensure new products are manufacturable.
• Work all phases of a product from concept to repeat manufacturing to end of life.
• Design and develop complex processes to improve quality and efficiency.
• Plan, develop and implement testing and evaluation procedures for new products.
