Job summary

Meta is seeking a Product Quality Engineer in Fremont, CA to join the Hardware Engineering team. You will drive manufacturing readiness and collaborate with design engineers and global manufacturing partners to ensure quality and reliability at hyperscale volumes.

You will track metrics, validate test requirements, and perform hardware debugging with root cause analysis to resolve issues and meet yield targets.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Execute and validate manufacturing/test requirements for compute and GPU systems in builds.
• Perform hardware debugging and contribute to RCA/ FACA to meet yield targets.
• Travel internationally to supplier sites up to 25% for hardware validation and alignment with CM partners.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on power optimization and performance tuning during validation.

As a Product Quality Engineer on the Hardware Engineering team, you will play a critical role in bringing next-generation AI/ML hardware from concept to mass production directly enabling the compute capacity that drives Meta's products.This role sits at the intersection of engineering innovation and operations, where you will execute on the manufacturing readiness plan for advanced compute and GPU platforms, partner with design engineers and global manufacturing partners, and help ensure Meta's hardware fleet meets the highest standards of quality and reliability at hyperscale volumes.---## Product Quality Engineer Responsibilities* Support manufacturing metrics (yield, throughput, cycle time, first-pass rate) across assigned products, tracking progress against established targets and escalating risks proactively* Execute, validate manufacturing and test requirements for assigned compute and GPU systems within a given build phase, with guidance from senior engineers* Execute test coverage against defined plans and identify gaps in coverage, methodologies, and infrastructure to improve hardware reliability and performance at scale against defined targets* Perform hardware debugging efforts, contributing to the Major Issue List and executing root cause analysis and Failure Analysis and Corrective Actions (FACA) to resolve hardware issues and meet yield targets* Travel internationally to supplier sites (up to 25%) to manage hardware validation, ensure compliance with test requirements, and support the team's working relationship with CM partners* Partner with cross-functional engineering teams on power optimizations and performance tuning for compute and GPU systems during manufacturing validation
