Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Sanford, NC is seeking personnel for 2nd shift to perform quality inspections and support continuous improvement. You will inspect, document defects, and communicate findings across teams to ensure products meet specifications.

The role requires basic MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint, strong quality focus, and the ability to multitask while prioritizing safety. Day ONE benefits and a quarterly bonus are highlighted in the overall package.

Qualifications

6 months of prior work experience.
Basic Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Experience in Product Auditing Processes.
Strong quality and attendance record.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
Meticulous and analytical by nature.
Ability to multitask and prioritize work.
Strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Perform quality inspection based on the check-list of inspection points/procedures.
Complete inspections using a checklist and tooling provided (static tools, dry leak testing, Cab electrical tests, templates, etc.).
Performs overall quality inspection at quality gates or at pre-delivery inspection.
Inspects products to ensure it meets the specifications.
Gather data from various tools and tooling systems and document quality issues into a computer system and flag defects for repair.
Cross-functional communication to complete tasks.
