Position Overview

The Product Project Engineer will report directly to the Director of Product Management and play a key role in leading product-related projects from concept through delivery. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role within a small, collaborative team environment.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical background, strong project ownership, and a business-oriented mindset. This person must be highly responsive, organized, and comfortable working across time zones, including occasional evening calls with overseas suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead product development and project execution initiatives
• Manage timelines, technical requirements, and cross-functional coordination
• Evaluate product costing and support pricing strategy
• Prepare and send proposals to the sales team
• Work closely with engineering, operations, and overseas suppliers
• Support customer inquiries and provide technical guidance as needed
• Contribute ideas around product positioning and value-added services

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 2–4 years of relevant experience
• Strong mechanical foundation with project management exposure
• Experience in motors, HVAC, pumps, commercial kitchen equipment, or similar industries preferred
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills; comfortable in a somewhat customer-facing role
• Willingness to work flexible hours when needed due to overseas suppliers
• Mandarin speaking is a strong plus
