Job summary

Expro is seeking an experienced product development leader to drive the design and delivery of core products in alignment with business strategy and customer demand.

You will manage cross-functional teams, review existing products for enhancements, and collaborate with marketing, operations and engineering to ensure timely releases and market-fit. Strong leadership and 10+ years of technical experience are required.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified or formal technical qualification.
• 10+ years technical experience preferable within relevant product line.
• Previous Team Leader/Supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop products and associated processes per product line requirements.
• Manage activities to ensure product delivers meets end users’ needs.
• Review existing products to optimise functionality in response to problems or requests.
• Ensure product development aligns with business and customer needs.
• Research market to identify competing or potential products and assess strengths and gaps.
• Provide documented plans for incremental improvements to reach final product development.
• Coordinate with product line experts, operations and engineering to achieve plan within timescales.
• Use feedback from customers and data to develop product requirements and enhancements.
• May liaise with Marketing to define go-to-market strategy, positioning and benefits.
• Analyse potential partner relationships for the product.

Overall Purpose of the Job

Responsible for the development of products in accordance with product line or business strategy and customer demand

Key Activities And Accountabilities

• Design and develop products and associated processes in accordance with product line requirements.
• Manage the various activities associated with ensuring that product is delivered that meets end users needs.
• Review existing products to optimise and enhance functionality either in response to customer problems or requests or as part of planned product enhancements.
• Ensure that relevant factors are considered in development process how well the product fits with business/customer needs.
• Research market to identify competing or potentially competing products and evaluates strengths and gaps.
• Provide documented plans of incremental improvements and/or development to achieve final product development.
• Liaise with product line experts, operations and engineering to ensure development plans are achievable within agreed timescales and to product release requirements.
• Use feedback from internal and external customers as well as quantitative operational data to develop product requirements/enhancements.
• May liaise with Marketing and Communications to define the go-to-market strategy, product positioning, key benefits and target customer.
• Analyse potential partner relationships for the product.
