Qualifications

  • Perform tooling setup and adjust setups as needed.
  • Mount pieces securely and remove defects with deburring tools.
  • Support quality and production goals and participate in lean/continuous improvement.

Job Summary

The Trim Press Operator performs machine set-up; operator inspects forged parts. Makes adjustments to the set-ups as necessary.

Job Requirements
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Visually and by touch will inspect forged parts and work pieces for excess metal.
  • Perform tooling set-up as required for specified parts.
  • Mount parts and work pieces in holding fixture or hand hold to secure.
  • Remove defects with air-powered deburring tools.
  • Maintain accurate part and /or work piece counts.
  • Assure quality and production requirements are met, as per the job‑specific travelers.
  • Participate in total quality management projects to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Participate in LEAN manufacturing and SPC activities as required.
  • Ensure adherence to APP’s policies and procedures, including our code of conduct and ethics policy, product safety, employee safety and cultural beliefs.
  • Ensure adherence to all process specifications.
  • Support the Plant quality system goals / improvements & productivity goals / improvements within the scope of the job.
  • Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the APP leadership.

  • In an effort to achieve continuous improvement, APP expects a willingness from employees to be cross‑trained on multiple operations.

Compensation

$18.00 - $20.00 an hour. This is the lowest to highest hourly rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
