Job summary

You will elicit requirements, create backlog items, and collaborate with developers, PMs, and stakeholders. Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence and Figma is essential to produce wireframes, SOPs, and training materials for smooth rollouts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar in a technology team.
• Experience in insurance, financial services, or similarly regulated industry preferred.
• Background in technical writing or instructional design preferred.
• Familiarity with Confluence or similar documentation tools.
• Exposure to software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
• Proficiency with JIRA (story creation, backlog management, sprint tracking).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience creating wireframes or mockups using Figma and similar design tools.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process observation.
• Translate requirements into well-structured JIRA epics, stories, tasks, and acceptance criteria.
• Maintain and groom the product backlog in collaboration with the development team and project leadership.
• Facilitate sprint planning, refinement, and retrospective sessions as needed.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and user flow diagrams using Figma to support development and stakeholder alignment.
• Partner closely with developers to ensure requirements are well-understood and delivered to spec.
• Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating clear communication across teams.
• Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and coordinate feedback cycles with business.
• Create and maintain comprehensive process documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Develop training manuals and materials to support the rollout of new systems, features, and workflows.
• Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to the intended audience —whether technical or end-user facing.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to capture institutional knowledge and translate it into clear written materials.
