Our client is hiring a Product Portfolio Manager to own the vision, strategy, and investment direction for its ERP portfolio, the enterprise capabilities that keep a large distribution business operating and scaling: Finance, Procurement, Inventory, Supply Chain, and Order Management. You'll operate as an enterprise capability strategist, looking past individual applications and project requests to decide which capabilities get invested in, modernized, simplified, standardized, consolidated, or retired.
The portfolio spans several ERP platforms (DMSI Agility, Epicor, and Oracle, with POS and JDE being phased out over the next 12 months). Delivery runs through a mix of vendor-managed and MSP-led teams, so this is a portfolio strategy and cross-functional alignment role, not a dev-team management seat. You will lead 2 direct-report Product Managers.
What you'll own
- Enterprise capability strategy across the ERP portfolio: gaps, duplication, fragmentation, unnecessary complexity
- Portfolio vision, strategy, and roadmap, aligning investment to business objectives, capability maturity, risk, and expected value
- Lifecycle decisions across the portfolio: enhance, modernize, consolidate, replace, or retire
- Outcome and benefit realization: measurable outcomes, success measures, accountability with process owners
- Cross-functional alignment across Product, process owners, Architecture, Delivery, Data and Analytics, and executive leadership
- People leadership: hire, coach, and develop Product Managers; build an outcome-oriented product culture

What you bring
- 7+ years of Product Management, including 5+ years leading portfolios, platforms, or enterprise business systems
- Experience managing both individual contributors and ERP implementations through the maturing lifecycle
- Background in a truly large organization; you've lived an ERP transformation from immaturity to maturity
- Strong grasp of ERP platforms and enterprise technology ecosystems (SAP, Oracle, DMSI Agility, Dynamics, Infor, PeopleSoft, or similar)
