The 1916 Company is seeking a Product Photographer in Bala Cynwyd, PA to capture and edit watch photography for our e-commerce platforms, following brand guidelines and standardized shot lists to ensure consistency across product categories.

This in-studio role will manage lighting, retouching in Photoshop/Lightroom, organize image assets, and collaborate with merchandising to meet listing timelines for high-value watches and jewelry.

Responsibilities

  • Day to day duties will be focused on capturing and editing watch product photography that meets established company guidelines.
  • Follow standardized shot lists and angle requirements for each product category to ensure a consistent look across the online space.
  • Edit and retouch images (color correction, background cleanup, spot and blemish removal, consistent cropping and sizing) to meet established brand and e-commerce guidelines.
  • Upload, tag, and organize finished images in our inventory management system, matching each photo set to the correct SKU or item record.
  • Maintain accurate, consistent file naming and folder organization for all shoots.
  • Meet daily and weekly photo output targets to keep pace with new inventory intake and e-commerce listing timelines.
  • Handle high-value watches, jewelry, and handbags in accordance with company security and merchandise-handling procedures.
  • Maintain studio equipment (cameras, lighting, backdrops) and flag equipment needs or issues to the appropriate team.
  • Collaborate with the e-commerce and merchandising teams to prioritize shoots and confirm listing details are accurate and complete.

Position Summary

The Product Photographer supports the e-commerce side of The 1916 Company, with day-to-day work centered on capturing and editing watch product photography, and additional support for jewelry and handbag photography as needed. The Product Photographer will adhere to established shooting techniques and editing standards to ensure a consistent, high-quality presentation of our products across all digital platforms.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience photographing watches, fine jewelry, or other small, high-value products.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce or inventory management platforms.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, or comparable editing software.
Work Environment

This is an on-site, in-studio role based at The 1916 Company’s Bala Cynwyd location. The Product Photographer will regularly handle high-value merchandise and is expected to follow all company procedures for the secure handling of inventory.
