Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Product Owner, Software, to maximize value delivered by the Scrum Team in a hybrid Mequon, WI setting. You will manage backlogs, define acceptance criteria, and align with multiple teams to drive releases and system-level goals.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in software development within industrial automation, extensive experience with Rockwell Drives and related Rockwell products, and SAFe/POPM/PSPO certifications.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience with Rockwell Drives and Rockwell products.
  • Experience in the industrial automation industry.
  • Experience in software development.
  • Familiar with C#, Angular, .NET MAUI, C++, WPF, MFC, and Xamarin.
  • Experience in SAFe, with POPM certification.
  • Mentoring and advisory role in Scrum, with PSPO certification.

Responsibilities

  • Manage one or more Team backlogs and define backlog items with acceptance criteria.
  • Define and communicate an inspiring backlog vision and prioritize items for multiple teams.
  • Track sprint and PI objectives to support quality and on-time releases.
  • Ensure teams understand backlog item intent and practice lean development.
  • Collaborate with Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer, Product Manager, and stakeholders.
  • Identify blocking items and plan contingencies for higher priorities.

And if that’s you we would love to have you join us!Job DescriptionThe role of the Product Owner, Software is to maximize value of the product being delivered by the Scrum Team.You will report to the Software and DevSecOps Engineering Manager and will work a hybrid schedule based in Mequon, Wisconsin.Your Responsibilities:Manage one or more Team backlogs that are thoughtful, visible, and the "single source of truth". Work flowed to your Team will typically originate from multiple products.Define backlog items, including clear and concise acceptance criteria.Define and communicate an inspiring vision of what the backlog items will provide when integrated together.Prioritize backlog items and optimize their flow to multiple Teams, especially in preparation of both recurring PI Planning events and proposed system-level products 'due dates'.Track the Sprint-by-Sprint goals and PI-by-PI objectives, in support of quality and on-time Releases, typically at Sprint or PI boundaries.Ensure the Teams understand the required intent of backlog items.Enable Team Members to effectively showcase the most critical components of the developed product to relevant Stakeholders.Enable Team Members to practice lean development by reducing waste and planning infrastructure and maintenance stories.Work effectively with the Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer, Product Manager, Scrum Team Members, and all applicable Stakeholders relating to tools, process, techniques, and relationships.Comprehend blocking items that prevent planned work from being completed, then navigate contingency planning of secondary priorities and execution.The Essentials - You Will Have:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experienceLegal authorization to work in the US is required.
