Job summary

Ascensus is seeking a Product Owner to lead the roadmap and execution for the Retirement and Government Savings programs. You will define stories, prioritize the team backlog, and ensure alignment with business value while maintaining product integrity in a fast-paced Agile environment.

You will collaborate with a Scrum team, BAs and technology partners, drive releases, participate in ceremonies, and measure KPIs to optimize outcomes for clients and plan sponsors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in the 401(k), IRA, 529, etc. domain.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Product Owner or in a Technology (Dev or QA) practice.
• Demonstrated experience implementing and executing Agile principles with strong technical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high quality of work that adheres to standards, regulatory and audit requirements.
• Strong consultative and well-articulated communication and writing skills with the ability to interact and influence at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Creates and maintains the Scrum Team Roadmap.
• Prioritizes and sequences the Backlog according to business value or ROI.
• Conveys the Vision and Goals at the beginning of every Release and Sprint.
• Represents the customer and engages the customer.
• Collaborating with a Scrum team on new Feature development, building and maintaining a Product backlog, contributing to/reviewing/approving user stories, sprint support, and UAT testing.
• Works with BAs and Technology to create BDD stories and elaboration of Epics, Themes and Features into user stories.
• Participates in daily Scrums, Sprint Planning Meetings, Release Planning, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives.
• Inspects progress and has authority to accept or reject work; adjusts course as needed.
• Maintains relationships with the business and the client to understand needs.
• Actively involved in Organizational readiness activities.
• Primary point person for team updates and feedback.
• Identify and maintain KPIs to support the team and assigned product.
• Establish annual goals, objectives and outcomes for product(s); Track and monitor KPIs.
