Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a Product Owner for Personal Lines Pricing in the Seattle area. The role defines and prioritizes the pricing technology backlog, ensuring inputs reach the rating engine and outputs feed downstream systems.
You will work with data scientists and product partners to translate pricing models into data requirements, while aligning with state-specific regulatory needs. In-office days are required for nearby candidates, with frequent collaboration across teams.
This position requires two in-office days per week for candidates who reside within 50 miles of Columbus, OH; Seattle, WA; Boston, MA; Portsmouth, NH; Indianapolis, IN; or Plano, TX.
As a member of the Agile team, the Product Owner, Personal Lines Pricing represents the voice of the customer, defining and prioritizing the backlog to deliver the highest business value. Within Personal Lines, this role owns the pricing technology backlog that governs the flow of data into and out of the rating engine — ensuring the right inputs reach rating (including derivation of new fields) and the right outputs are delivered downstream to policy, billing, and reporting systems. This person sits at the intersection of data science and product, translating pricing models and rating algorithms built by data scientists and state‑specific requirements defined by Product into clear, buildable technology requirements.
Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
