Job summary

Apt is seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Product Owner specializing in Billing, AR, and GL to drive enhancements and optimize end-to-end financial processes.

You will collaborate with Finance, Accounting, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions and ensure accurate data flow across Billing, AR, and GL.

Responsibilities include defining requirements, leading testing, and developing documentation to support month-end close and reconciliation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IS, Business, or equivalent experience.
• Strong functional experience with PeopleSoft Billing and Accounts Receivable.
• Knowledge of billing, invoicing, receivables management, and payment application.
• Understanding of GL interfaces and financial reconciliation.
• Experience gathering requirements and writing functional specifications.
• Experience with system testing, deployments, and post-implementation support.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

• Lead testing activities, including UAT, deployment, and post-production support.

We're Hiring: PeopleSoft Product Owner – Billing, Accounts Receivable (AR) & General Ledger (GL)

We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Product Owner with strong functional expertise in PeopleSoft Financials, particularly Billing, Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).

The ideal candidate will drive product enhancements, optimize end-to-end billing and receivables processes, and collaborate with Finance, Accounting, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, efficient, and reliable financial solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage PeopleSoft Billing and AR enhancements, business requirements, and product priorities.
• Serve as the functional subject-matter expert for PeopleSoft Billing and Accounts Receivable.
• Support end-to-end billing and receivables processes, including invoice generation, customer account management, payment application, collections, deductions, adjustments, and write-offs.
• Support PeopleSoft configuration, including business units, bill types, bill sources, customer setup, item types, payment terms, and accounting distributions.
• Ensure accurate data flow and integration across Billing, AR, and GL.
• Troubleshoot complex functional issues involving billing, receivables, payments, accounting entries, and system interfaces.
• Validate accounting entries and reconcile Billing and AR activity with the General Ledger.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including accounting reviews, reconciliations, and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with technical teams on functional specifications for integrations, reports, conversions, interfaces, and system enhancements.
• Lead and support testing activities, including test planning, UAT, defect resolution, deployment, and post-production support.
• Develop functional documentation, process flows, user guides, and training materials.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation, financial controls, data quality, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong functional experience with PeopleSoft Billing and Accounts Receivable.
• In-depth understanding of billing, invoicing, receivables management, payment application, collections, and adjustments.
• Demonstrated knowledge of integration and data flow between Billing, AR, and GL.
• Experience with accounting entry generation, journal processing, GL interfaces, and financial reconciliation.
• Ability to gather business requirements, prepare functional specifications, and collaborate with technical development teams.
• Experience supporting system testing, production deployments, and post-implementation support.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PeopleSoft Financials implementations, upgrades, and major enhancement initiatives.
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft Integration Broker, APIs, file-based interfaces, and middleware integrations.
• Experience with PeopleSoft Query, reporting tools, and data analysis.
• Knowledge of revenue processes, financial controls, receivables management, and GL reconciliation.
• Experience working in large, multi-business-unit financial environments.
• Experience with product ownership, backlog prioritization, Agile delivery, and cross-functional team leadership.
