Job summary

Risant Health, a nonprofit affiliate of Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, seeks a VBP Product Owner to lead the strategy and lifecycle of the Value-based Platform. You will translate clinician and customer needs into actionable requirements, manage backlogs, and align development with strategic goals.

Reporting to the VBP Head of Product, you will collaborate with clinical, engineering, data, and design teams to deliver high-quality value-based care solutions that improve outcomes and affordability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 4+ years of directly related experience.

The VBP Product Owner at Risant Health leads the strategy and lifecycle management of the Value-based Platform (VBP) solution portfolio, aligning closely with business and clinical leadership. This role ensures the delivery of solutions that meet customer, clinician, and consumer needs, drive key business outcomes, and position Risant Health as a leader in value-based care in the U.S. health market.

The VBP Product Owneris responsible fortranslating customer, clinician, and consumer needs into actionable product requirements and guiding the development of high-quality value-based care solutions. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to manage product backlogs, define user stories, support sprint execution, and ensure successful product delivery. Reporting to the VBP Head of Product, the Product Owner plays a key role in aligning product development with strategic goals and enhancing user experience.

PrincipalDutiesand Responsibilities

• Product Strategy & Roadmap:Shapesand communicates a clear product vision aligned with business goals and customer needs. Translates this vision into OKRs and a prioritized roadmap using frameworks like DVF, balancing stakeholder input, market trends, and technical feasibility.
• Backlog & Requirements Management:Owns andmaintainsthe product backlog in collaboration with the Product Manager, defining user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics. Ensures clarity, prioritization, and alignment with business value using tools like Jira.
• Sprint Execution & Delivery:Leads sprint planning and execution by preparing stories, clarifying requirements, and supporting development and QA teams. Reviews completed work, gathers feedback, and ensures delivery aligns with goals and specifications.
• User Experience & Design:Partners with design teams to ensure intuitive, user-centered experiences that meet the needs of clinicians, patients, and other users, while championing UX best practices throughout the development process.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:Acts as a liaison between cross-functional teams (clinical, engineering, data, legal, etc.) and stakeholders, ensuring alignment, clear communication, andtimelyupdates on product plans, milestones, and decisions.
• Performance Monitoring & Optimization:Analyzes product performance using data and insights toidentifyopportunities for improvement. Collaborates with analytics teams to track impact and make informed, data-driven decisions.
• Go-to-Market Support:Contributes to go-to-market planning for new product launches and feature releases, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and effective communication of product value.

Required Qualifications: Education and Experience

• Bachelor’sDegreein Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems Management,Data Analytics, Engineering, Social Science, or related field
• OR four (4)additionalyearsdirectly relatedexperience
• Five (5) yearsas a Product Owner or similar role in Agile software development/ delivery environments.
• Five (5) yearsworking with agile teams, including familiarity with scrum ceremonies and agile best practices.

PreferredQualifications: Education and Experience

• Certified Scrum Master(CSM)
• Certified Scrum Product Owner(CSPO)
• Professional Scrum Product Owner(PSPO)
• SAFeProduct Owner / Product Manager(POPM)
• Experience leading and working with inter-disciplinary teams and managing stakeholder relationships in a complex environment.
• Experience working within the healthcare multi-payer/multi-providerenvironment is preferred.

PreferredQualifications: Technical Competencies

Product Development & Strategy:Proven experience developing and executing product roadmaps with a focus on user experience and clinical outcomes. Skilled in drafting KPIs and applying prioritization frameworks to guide decision-making.

Agile & Product Management Expertise:Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban,SAFe) and product management best practices. Background in roles such as Product Analyst or Business Analyst, with hands-on experience in user acceptance testing (UAT).

Tools & Platforms Proficiency:Proficient in product and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, Mural, Miro, and TestFlight.

Additional Information

Compensation and Benefits:

The projected base salary for this position ranges from $131,000.40- $157,200.48depending on experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for incentive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including wellness programs, retirement savings, and relocation support as applicable.
