Job summary

PrePass is seeking a Product Owner for Mobile Apps to drive innovative mobile software that fuels business growth. You will work with Product Managers to execute the product vision while ensuring high-quality apps that meet customer needs.

Hybrid role based in Downtown Phoenix, collaborating with UX/UI, developers, QA, and other stakeholders across the lifecycle. You will translate requirements into clear user stories, maintain the backlog, and guide agile ceremonies to deliver on schedule, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar product-focused role supporting software development.
• Experience delivering mobile applications in an Agile development environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and backlog management.
• Experience writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and prioritizing product backlogs.
• Familiarity with mobile application development processes and user experience principles.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Engineering, Design, and Quality Assurance.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using Agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certification.
• Experience in transportation, logistics, SaaS, fintech, or other technology-driven industries.
• Experience with mobile analytics, A/B testing, or customer research methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Define and prioritize the product roadmap and feature backlog for mobile application initiatives based on business goals, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
• Translate business and user requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.
• Continuously refine and prioritize the product backlog to maximize business value and support strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, UX/UI Designers, Developers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and define product specifications.
• Conduct user research and gather customer feedback to validate product direction and identify enhancement opportunities.
• Communicate product updates, project status, risks, and priorities to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the development lifecycle.
• Partner closely with the development team to ensure a shared understanding of product requirements, technical dependencies, and implementation constraints.
• Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies by providing clear priorities and product guidance.
• Monitor project progress to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule, within scope, and in accordance with quality expectations.
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate product functionality against business requirements.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to support comprehensive functional, performance, and security testing.
• Stay current on mobile technologies, industry trends, and Agile best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous product improvement.

About the Role

We'relooking for a Product Owner, Mobile Apps to play a critical role in delivering innovative mobile software products that drive business growth. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Product Managers to executethe productvision and strategy while ensuring the development team delivers high-quality mobile applications that meet customer needs and businessobjectives. You will work cross-functionally with UX/UI Designers, Developers, QA, and other stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle. This is a hybrid position based out of our Downtown Phoenix office.

Essential Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Backlog Management

• Defineandprioritizethe product roadmap andfeaturebacklog for mobile application initiatives based on business goals, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
