Job summary

Wesco in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Product Owner to lead the delivery and evolution of our enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) platform. You will partner with business stakeholders, data governance, architects, and development teams to define product strategy, manage the backlog, and maximize value across MDM initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, IS, Business or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years as Product Owner with Agile background.
  • Experience with Informatica MDM Hub including landing, staging, base objects, hierarchy management, and downstream publishing.
  • Knowledge of IDMC/CDQ and cloud data management solutions.
  • Understanding of match/merge processes, survivorship rules, fuzzy matching, and golden records; IDQ/CDQ knowledge.
  • PSM/PSPO or SAFe POPM certifications preferred.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead the delivery and evolution of our enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) platform. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, data governance teams, architects, and development teams to define product strategy, manage the product backlog, and maximize business value across MDM initiatives.


Responsibilities


  • Develop and explicitly communicate the Product Goal

  • Manage and maintain a transparent product backlog, re-evaluate customer product needs and continually balance priorities of the product across maintenance and strategic initiatives

  • Review product features as they are developed, providing feedback and guidance.

  • Participate as a member of the Agile Team, attend Scrum Events, and is responsible for defining epics and stories including Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Done

  • Interacts with a diverse set of stakeholders, including Senior Management, business and technology teams, customers, suppliers, and external partners

  • Represent the needs of many stakeholders in the Product Backlog and work directly with delivery teams as the voice of the customer

  • Drive cohesion across the team but focus efforts on the desired features, while ensuring that each team member is able to contribute to the product’s goals

  • Provide clear direction and flexibility when priorities change based on user needs and requirements

  • Participate in Agile SDLC activities, including planning, refinement, stand-ups and retrospectives. Provide support to manage iteration planning and refinement of user stories. Spotlight inter-dependencies among cross-product development teams to ensure seamless delivery

  • Collaborate with other POs, and Product Executives to ensure the vision of the product is being met and that the product backlog is aligned with the program backlog

  • Coordinate closely with the Product Executive to ensure alignment with the Outcome Based Product Roadmap and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)

  • Serve as a thought leader for a specific business and technology team and assists other leaders with the delegation of work assignments

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field, or equivalent, relevant work experience required.

  • 6 or more years’ experience as a Product Owner with Agile facilitation background, working in an agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)

  • Experience with Informatica MDM Hub, including landing, staging, base objects, hierarchy management, and downstream publishing.

  • Knowledge of Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) and cloud-based data management solutions.

  • Understanding of match and merge processes, including survivorship rules, trust scores, fuzzy matching, and golden record creation. Experience with Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) and/or Cloud Data Quality (CDQ). Knowledge of real-time and batch integration patterns, SIF APIs, ETL/ELT processes, and messaging technologies.

  • Advanced Agile/ Scrum development background

  • Familiarity in working in a SaaS environment

  • PSM/PSPO OR SAFe POPM certifications preferred


Compensation Details: $119,327 - $161,092 Annually


For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
