Job summary

Marlabs is seeking a Product Owner (AI & Analytics) to drive the delivery of AI, analytics, and data-driven solutions. You will bridge business stakeholders and technical teams, manage backlogs and roadmaps, and ensure high-value outcomes across delivery teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in product delivery, strong Agile/Scrum experience, and a passion for data, analytics, and AI. This role is hybrid, requiring 3 days on-site per week in the Indianapolis area.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Product Owner/PM/BA with backlog ownership.
• Strong Agile/Scrum with backlog refinement and sprint planning.
• Experience delivering data/analytics/AI projects in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication.
• Experience translating business needs into features and user stories.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage product backlogs, roadmaps across AI, analytics, reporting, and digital product initiatives.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders, define product capabilities, and translate objectives into user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Lead Agile delivery activities including backlog refinement, sprint planning, prioritization, reviews, and stakeholder alignment sessions.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analytics teams, AI specialists, UX designers, and software engineers to deliver business value.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, competing priorities, dependencies, risks, and changing business requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support product governance, release planning, change management, documentation, and continuous improvement of product delivery processes and Agile practices.

Product Owner (AI & Analytics) | About You

As a Product Owner (AI & Analytics), you will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of AI, analytics, and data-driven solutions that support business objectives and operational excellence. You will serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into actionable product features, managing product backlogs and roadmaps, and ensuring delivery teams remain focused on high-value outcomes. The ideal candidate combines strong Agile product ownership experience with excellent stakeholder management skills and a passion for leveraging data, analytics, and AI to solve complex business challenges.

Product Owner (AI & Analytics) | Day-to-Day

• Own and manage product backlogs, priorities, roadmaps, and delivery plans across AI, analytics, reporting, and digital product initiatives.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define product capabilities, and translate business objectives into user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized work items.
• Lead Agile delivery activities including backlog refinement, sprint planning, prioritization, reviews, and stakeholder alignment sessions.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including data engineers, analytics teams, AI specialists, UX designers, and software engineers to deliver business value.

Product Owner (AI & Analytics) | Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or related product delivery role, with ownership of product backlogs and roadmaps.
• Strong Agile/Scrum expertise, including backlog management, user story creation, sprint planning, prioritization, and successful product delivery using Jira.
• Proven experience delivering data, analytics, reporting, business intelligence, AI, or digital product initiatives in a cross-functional environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical teams and influence decision-making.
• Experience translating business requirements into product features and delivery plans, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization capabilities.
• Preferred: Experience with AI, Generative AI, Machine Learning, Databricks, cloud-based data platforms, executive dashboards, or modern analytics architectures.
