Job summary

Omron Robotics and Safety Technologies, Inc. (ORT) seeks a Product Owner, Fleet Management & Cloud to own the backlog and guide delivery of fleet management and cloud software.

You will work with engineering teams and the Global Product Manager to drive value-stream driven execution. The role reports to the Director of Mobile Product Management and can be based at any Omron Robotics location in the Americas or Europe.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years in software product ownership or Agile delivery roles.
• Hands-on experience with Agile development teams in a B2B software environment.
• Experience with cloud-based platforms, enterprise software, or industrial systems.
• Eligible for U.S. export control regulations.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum practices, including backlog management and story writing.
• Ability to translate customer and market needs into actionable software requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the backlog for Fleet Management & Cloud software; translate roadmaps into user stories.
• Direct feature and defect prioritization; clarify scope and dependencies with stakeholders.
• Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retros with developers and architects.
• Ensure engineering aligns to customer workflows and value stream objectives.
• Collaborate with Global Product Manager to align sprint outcomes to roadmap goals.
• Work with UX and systems engineering to scale solutions across cloud and IT/OT environments.
• Participate in customer feedback, internal demos, and backlog prioritization.
• Support release planning and internal enablement for deployments.
• Identify and remove blockers to maintain velocity and quality.
