Position Summary

The Product Owner plays a key role within the Information Technology (IT) organization by leading the development and execution of high-impact initiatives on the product roadmap. This role serves as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring solutions align with organizational goals and customer needs. By fostering cross-functional collaboration and leveraging data-driven strategies, the Product Owner helps Empower Pharmacy deliver scalable, user-centered, and innovative healthcare technology solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Owns and manages the product backlog by translating business objectives, user feedback, and stakeholder input into clearly prioritized features and actionable technical requirements.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with engineering, design, operations, and other departments to define user stories, establish measurable acceptance criteria, and align on the scope of the minimal viable product (MVP).
  • Serves as the voice of the customer throughout development sprints, championing the product vision and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-impact, user-centric solutions.
  • Leads key Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups, while maintaining a strong focus on product key performance indicators (KPIs), execution velocity, and team alignment.
  • Applies insights from artificial intelligence driven analytics, user behavior, and market trends to inform product strategy, guide prioritization, and drive continuous product optimization.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices.   • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies with experience defining MVP scope, collaborating with engineering teams, and using data analysis, A/B testing, and KPIs to drive product success.

Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or in a related role, preferably in healthcare, eCommerce, or Software as a Service.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required; Master’s degree such as a Master of Business Administration or equivalent is preferred.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO), or similar Agile product certification required; familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Structured Query Language (SQL), Figma, and other product management tools preferred.
