Job description

We are looking for a Product Owner to play a key role in the day-to-day execution of our product development process.

Full-time · Ada - Monday and Wednesday in office

Ludus is a SaaS company that builds digital tools trusted by thousands of organizations of all sizes to power their event ticketing, marketing, fundraising, retail and registration needs.

Ludus is seeking a Product Owner to help drive our next phase of growth. This position is focused on translating customer feedback, internal needs, and business requirements into clear, actionable tasks for the engineering team. While this role is not currently responsible for shaping long-term product vision, it is critical to ensuring the short-term roadmap is delivered smoothly and accurately.

The ideal candidate is a fast-moving, product-savvy problem solver with a strong grasp of digital products and the ability to turn ideas into executable scope for design and development teams.

If you thrive on simplicity, speed, and iterative development we’d love to talk.

Join us in our mission to bring people together through shared experiences and building digital tools for arts organizations.

At Ludus, our mission is to bring people together through shared experiences. It’s a big goal that allows for limitless expansion to make a difference in the world.

We get shit done, move fast, and are constantly learning and adapting. We embrace low process and high trust to navigate change and figure out what works.

We believe success is never final and when you think it is, that is when you fail. For us, success is a sum of small efforts, including trial and error, so we move at an unrelenting weekly pace.

In order to grow as a company and individually, discomfort is necessary so we can continue exploring new ideas and push ourselves to build quality tools to offer the best solutions for our customers.

If you prefer a hand-holding environment where everything is black and white, that’s not us. If you’re a self-starter and can thrive in controlled chaos, Ludus is the place for you — it’s time to find your role

What you'll be doing

Own Product Outcomes: Take ownership of assigned product areas from discovery through launch and adoption, ensuring work solves the right customer and business problems.

Drive Discovery: Validate problems through customer conversations, data, support trends, competitive research, and partnership with internal stakeholders before defining solutions.

Prioritize Effectively: Make clear recommendations based on customer value, business impact, urgency, effort, and strategic alignment, not simply collect stakeholder requests.

Define Success Upfront: Establish measurable success criteria before development begins and use results to recommend iteration and expansion.

Lead Product Adoption: Partner with various departments to ensure features are understood, launched effectively, and adopted.

Maintain Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of Ludus, its customers, workflows, competitive landscape, and how changes affect the broader platform.

Identify Risks and Dependencies: Surface gaps, tradeoffs, blockers, and cross-product impacts early, along with a recommended path forward.

Operate Proactively: Keep stakeholders informed and raise concerns before someone has to ask for an update.

Partner with Design: Work closely with Product Design throughout discovery, prototyping, usability testing, and delivery, not just hand over requirements.

Use AI Effectively: Use AI to accelerate research, documentation, analysis, ideation, and day-to-day product work while applying judgment.

Comfort with Ambiguity: Can create clarity, make decisions, and move work forward without waiting for every detail to be provided.

Bias Toward Action: Moves quickly, avoids overengineering, and knows when there is enough information to proceed.

Traits we're looking for

Experience: 2+ years as a Product Owner.

SaaS Experience: Experience working on a fast-moving SaaS product with multiple customer types and interconnected product areas.

Product Touch: Solid understanding of our customers and how to solve their issues.

Bias Toward Action: Moves quickly, creates clarity in ambiguous situations, and knows when there is enough information to make a decision.

Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving mindset with keen attention to detail.

Communication: Clearly connects technical and non-technical teams, provides proactive updates, and raises risks before they become blockers.

Curiosity and Learning: Actively builds product knowledge, seeks feedback, and uses new information to improve decisions.

AI-Forward Mindset: Uses AI thoughtfully to accelerate research, documentation, analysis, and everyday product work.

Tool Proficiency: Experience with tools such as Jira, Figma, Pendo, Notion or equivalent systems.

Usability Research: Familiarity with usability research methods, including surveys, interviews, or user testing.

Health Insurance (Medical, Vision, Dental) — Ludus offers medical coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield, with vision and dental coverage through Guardian. For the base medical plan, Ludus pays 90% of the employee premium and 50% of dependent premiums.

Personal Wellness — $50 monthly reimbursement that can be used on anything personal wellness related.
