Job summary

NexTech Solutions is seeking a Product Owner to bridge business stakeholders and technical teams in Memphis. You will manage the product backlog, translate requirements into user stories, and guide delivery through Agile ceremonies in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong communication, backlog management, and 3–5+ years in Agile product ownership or similar. You will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure value delivery and successful releases.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing product backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience facilitating collaboration between stakeholders and software teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own, manage, and refine the product backlog.
  • Prioritize stories and features based on business value and dependencies.
  • Partner with Scrum Masters and development teams to plan sprint goals.
  • Ensure backlog items are ready for sprint planning and review.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Validate completed work against acceptance criteria and stakeholder feedback.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable development tasks and user stories.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders, technical teams, and end users.
  • Assist in product demonstrations and collect feedback for enhancements.
  • Develop product documentation, process flows, and roadmaps.
  • Support releases, UAT, deployment planning, and post-release validation.
  • Collaborate with QA, engineering, and business teams to ensure delivery.

Overview

We are seeking a Product Owner to join a collaborative technology team responsible for delivering high-impact digital products and business solutions. This role serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring product priorities align with organizational goals while delivering meaningful value to end users.

The ideal candidate combines strong communication and business analysis skills with Agile product ownership experience. You should be comfortable managing competing priorities, facilitating collaboration across cross-functional teams, and guiding products from concept through delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own, manage, and continuously refine the product backlog.
  • Prioritize user stories and features based on business value, customer needs, technical considerations, and project dependencies.
  • Partner with Scrum Masters and development teams to plan sprint goals and deliverables.
  • Ensure backlog items are well-defined and ready for sprint planning.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Validate completed work against defined acceptance criteria.
  • Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into actionable user stories and development tasks.
  • Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, technical teams, and end users.
  • Facilitate product demonstrations and collect stakeholder feedback to guide future enhancements.
  • Develop business cases, feature documentation, process flows, and product specifications.
  • Maintain accurate product documentation using collaboration and project management tools.
  • Support product releases, user acceptance testing, deployment planning, and post-release validation.
  • Collaborate with QA, engineering, and business teams to ensure successful feature delivery.
  • Communicate technical concepts in language appropriate for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support continuous product improvement through data-driven decision making and stakeholder feedback.
Required Qualifications
  • 3 to 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or a similar Agile product management role.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across technical and business teams.
  • Demonstrated experience gathering, documenting, and managing business requirements.
  • Proven ability to prioritize competing initiatives and make informed product decisions.
  • Experience managing product backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience facilitating collaboration between business stakeholders and software development teams.
  • Hands-on experience using Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, and tracking.
  • Experience using Confluence for documentation and knowledge sharing.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting enterprise software or cloud-based applications.
  • Familiarity with APIs, databases, and enterprise system integrations.
  • Experience participating in product release planning, user acceptance testing, and deployment activities.
  • Exposure to CI/CD practices and Agile DevOps environments.
  • Experience with Tableau or other reporting and data visualization tools.
  • Ability to create business cases, process documentation, and product roadmaps.
  • Experience presenting updates and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Exposure to enterprise monitoring or workload automation platforms is a plus.
