Job description
Overview

We’re looking for a strategic, creative, and customer-obsessed Product Marketing Manager to shape how Matomo shows up in the market — and help guide our evolution from a product-led, open-source foundation to a Sales-Led Growth (SLG) model.

In this pivotal role, you’ll act as the bridge between product and market, defining our Unique Selling Propositions (USPs), refining our Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs), and crafting compelling product narratives that resonate throughout the buyer journey.

You’ll play a key role in unifying how we talk about Matomo — ensuring our message consistently reaches the right customers, in the right markets, with the right impact.

You’ll lead go-to-market strategy and planning, support account-based marketing (ABM) efforts, and work closely with Content Marketing, Customer Marketing, and Sales to deliver localised, high-impact sales enablement that accelerates adoption and drives revenue — especially across France, Germany, US and global markets.

This is both a strategic and hands-on role, ideal for a senior product marketer who thrives in fast-paced, privacy-first environments — and knows how to operationalise positioning across teams, channels, and cultures.

About InnoCraft and Matomo

At InnoCraft, we’re on a mission to build a more ethical, privacy-first digital world. Our flagship product, Matomo, is the leading open-source web analytics platform — trusted by over 1 million websites and apps across 190+ countries.

Unlike other analytics tools, Matomo empowers organisations to gain meaningful insights without compromising data ownership or user privacy. Every month, we process billions of data points, turning complexity into clear, actionable reports that drive smarter decisions.

Available in 50+ languages and backed by a passionate, fully remote community, Matomo is proudly developed across global hubs — including New Zealand, Europe, and beyond.

What you will do
  • Define and refine Matomo’s positioning, messaging, and USPs to stand out in the privacy-first analytics space.
  • Translate product capabilities into clear, benefit-driven stories tailored to ICPs across markets.
  • Develop and evolve Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) and personas using customer insights, usage data, and sales feedback.
  • Lead go-to-market strategy and execution for feature launches in partnership with Product, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Collaborate with Content Marketing and Customer Marketing to infuse product messaging into campaigns, onboarding, and lifecycle content.
  • Build and localise sales enablement tools (e.g. pitch decks, persona briefs, ROI calculators) for France, Germany, USA and other key regions.
  • Support Account-Based Marketing (ABM) with targeted messaging and assets for high-value segments.
  • Partner with Sales to deliver training and tools that support inbound, outbound, renewal, and upsell efforts.
  • Drive product adoption and retention through in-product messaging and post-sale value narratives.
  • Conduct ongoing market and competitive research to inform positioning, pricing, and enablement strategy.
What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, within a global B2B SaaS, open-source, analytics, or product business
  • Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in building messaging frameworks, storytelling strategies, and ICP-driven positioning.
  • Experience supporting or executing ABM initiatives in partnership with demand generation or sales.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills — capable of making technical concepts resonate.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration across Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing.
  • Customer-centric, data-informed mindset with a strategic yet hands-on approach.
  • Fluent in English, and proficient in either French or German (both written and spoken).
