About the Role

The Software, AI, and University Product Marketing team is responsible for setting the vision and values of our developer experience using software, tools, and AI. We drive the Go-to-Market strategy to develop and execute marketing plans for new product features and releases.We define how the product is presented to the market and craft compelling messaging, understand the competitive landscape and develop strategies to differentiate the product, and work closely with other teams to understand product features and translate them into marketing materials. We believe marketing is not just about selling outward to our customers, but also about aligning and selling inward to drive the overall vision of our product areas with cross-functional teams, and sell our vision upward to executive management to drive the overall product within Altera.

As an Embedded Product Marketing Manager you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and share technical collateral that demonstrates solution messaging, positioning, and value propositions for Altera’s FPGAs being used in embedded applications.

  • Work closely with planning, applications, engineering, and business markets to determine key embedded deliverables and opportunities.

  • Key deliverables include abstracts, presentations, technical papers, and deployable examples for use with trade conferences and sales teams.

  • Owns the messaging and vision for using embedded RTOS and OSes with FPGAs.

  • Gives feedback and improvement suggestions based on user experiences.

  • Work across organizational boundaries in a highly collaborative environment and represent the marketing perspective within embedded product review teams.

  • Develop technical papers, presentations, videos, and other outbound collateral to demonstrate Altera's leadership in solving embedded solutions.

  • Communicate and present technical papers at conferences that showcases the value of using embedded solutions as a development and deployment environment.

  • Engage with technical experts and translate technical details to user messages including sales collateral and training.

Salary Range

The pay range below is for Bay Area California only. Actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including job location, job-related knowledge, skills, experiences, trainings, etc. We also offer incentive opportunities that reward employees based on individual and company performance.

Qualifications:

What We Want to See

  • Bachelor´s Degree in any Engineering/Science, or related field.

  • 1+ year of experience in FPGA technology or embedded software and its applications.

  • Knowledge of Altera FPGAs and tools including Quartus Prime Pro software.

  • Deep understanding of RTOS, OS, and embedded systems concepts.

  • Demonstrated success in working with developer communities and influencing their adoption of new technologies.

Ways to Stand Out from the Crowd

  • Experience writing and delivering outbound marketing content.

  • Master’s Degree in any Engineering/Science, or related field.
