Descrizione del lavoro

JOSIE MARAN is seeking an experienced, strategically minded and highly organized Manager, Product Marketing to help bring our founder-led product vision to life across innovation, new launches and our core hero franchises.

Reporting to the leader of Integrated Brand Marketing, this role will own the development and execution of product marketing strategy, including positioning, product storytelling, briefs, launch readiness, claims and education inputs, and product marketing coordination with New Product Development (NPD).

This person will serve as the central product marketing partner between NPD, Integrated Brand Marketing, Creative, Education, Sales and other cross-functional teams—ensuring every product has a clear purpose in the portfolio, a differentiated consumer proposition and the information needed for a successful launch.

The ideal candidate combines strong strategic judgment with exceptional execution. They can think critically about the consumer and the beauty market, develop compelling product narratives, and independently manage the details that keep multiple product initiatives moving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate founder vision, approved innovation priorities, consumer insights and portfolio opportunities into differentiated product marketing recommendations.
  • Develop product positioning, consumer propositions, key benefits, reasons to believe, product strategy guides and messaging frameworks for launches and core heroes.
  • Partner with leadership to evaluate innovation opportunities, competitive positioning and potential portfolio implications.
  • Maintain consistency and clarity in product messaging across launches, evergreen content and consumer touchpoints.
  • Develop clear product development and packaging briefs in partnership with NPD and Creative.
  • Serve as the primary product marketing partner throughout concept, formula, packaging and claims development.
  • Track product marketing milestones, approvals, deliverables and dependencies in alignment with NPD's development calendar and the integrated 360 launch calendar.
  • Surface product readiness risks, unresolved decisions and timeline conflicts early.
Go-to-Market & Launch Readiness
  • Own the product marketing inputs required for new launches, including positioning, messaging, product information, education materials and key selling points.
  • Partner with the Integrated Brand Marketing team to ensure product strategy and information are incorporated into campaign briefs and 360 launch plans.
  • Develop product marketing strategies and briefs for kits, sampling and gratis programs, coordinating execution with relevant partners.
  • Ensure product marketing deliverables are complete, accurate, approved and available when cross-functional teams need them.
Claims, Product Education & Content Support
  • Coordinate marketing needs, timing and documentation for claims testing, consumer studies and before-and-after content in partnership with NPD and relevant technical or regulatory teams.
  • Develop and maintain accurate product benefit, claim and education information.
  • Create clear product messaging and copy briefs for Creative, Education, Ecommerce, Retail and other teams.
  • Review product-related creative and educational materials for positioning, product accuracy and consistency with approved claims.
  • Provide product marketing feedback to Creative without assuming ownership of campaign creative direction or asset production.
  • Monitor category developments, competitive launches, consumer reviews, product performance and emerging consumer needs.
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights into practical recommendations for product positioning, innovation and core franchise growth.
  • Help identify opportunities to strengthen hero products, improve product storytelling and address portfolio gaps.
  • Use market intelligence to inform—not replace—the brand's founder-led point of view.
Product Marketing Operations
  • Maintain accurate and accessible product marketing documentation, including briefs, positioning guides, approved claims, product information and launch-readiness trackers.
  • Coordinate cross-functional reviews, approvals and handoffs for product marketing deliverables.
  • Proactively identify workflow gaps and improve the clarity, consistency and reliability of product marketing processes.
  • Work independently across multiple priorities while keeping leadership informed of decisions, risks and dependencies.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant product marketing or brand marketing experience in the beauty industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in skincare, body care, fragrance or adjacent beauty categories.
  • Strong understanding of beauty product development, positioning, claims and go-to-market processes.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical skills and written communication.
  • Ability to develop clear, differentiated consumer-facing product narratives.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, follow-through and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Comfortable working closely with founders, creative teams, product development and commercial partners.
  • Proactive, resourceful and able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, evolving entrepreneurial environment.
What Success Looks Like
  • Every major launch has clear, differentiated product positioning and complete product marketing documentation.
  • NPD and Integrated Brand Marketing have reliable, aligned milestones and handoffs.
  • Product claims, messaging and education inputs are accurate, approved and available on time.
  • Core heroes receive consistent, thoughtful product marketing support—not just new launches.
  • The Integrated Brand Marketing leader has meaningful capacity to focus on leadership, strategy and company-wide integration rather than day-to-day product marketing coordination.
