Job description

About Finch

We are on a mission to revolutionize employment by building the infrastructure that powers every facet of work. To do this, we're looking for individuals who think about problems holistically and in-depth, who are relentlessly curious, self‑starters, and determined to drive ideas from inception through to completion.

Finch is a Series B company backed by a fantastic set of firms, angels, and our developers including General Catalyst, Menlo Ventures, Homebrew, BoxGroup, YCombinator, Charley (1st business hire at Plaid), Sima (ex‑Head of Biz Dev at Plaid), Henrique + Pedro (co‑CEOs at Brex), Jeff + Wayne (co‑CEOs at Digits), Immad (CEO at Mercury), Sam (CEO at Vouch Insurance), Karim (CTO at Ramp), and more.

About Our Team

We're a team of problem solvers who aren’t afraid to challenge assumptions. We value velocity, curiosity, empathy, and diverse perspectives. Everyone on the team is excited about the scope of the problems we address and the potential impact our work can have on the global workforce. We realize that the value we provide comes with great responsibilities, and therefore make security and privacy our highest priorities.

We come from a diverse set of backgrounds and each member brings different skills to the group. You're encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. Your skills and potential will stand out—and set you apart—especially if your career has taken some extraordinary twists and turns.

About The Role

As a Product Marketing Manager at Finch, you’ll join a small, high‑impact team that works closely with Product, Sales, and Success.

You’ll play a central role in shaping go‑to‑market strategy, translating product capabilities into compelling narratives, and driving cross‑functional alignment for programs across the full customer lifecycle.

You’ll be expected to develop deep product knowledge and customer empathy, communicate confidently—both in writing and in presentations—and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Understand the Finch product suite in‑depth to help build content including demos, product feature spotlights, and other assets.
  • Own the creation and execution of product launches for new features.
  • Research, build, and adapt positioning and messaging for new industries and personas.
  • Convert key messages into high fidelity externally‑facing content, including thought leadership content, webinars, one pagers, pitch decks and more for various audiences.
  • Support Marketing campaigns with industry, persona, and product‑focused content that can be leveraged to generate and nurture leads.
  • Work with the Sales team to develop impactful enablement resources and arm the team to better position ourselves against competitors and the status quo.
  • Partner with Customer to build onboarding resources, expansion campaigns, and co‑marketing content that accelerates adoption.
  • Occasionally attend tradeshows and other events to gather market insights and connect with customers directly.
What You’ll Bring
  • 3+ years in product marketing or a related role.
  • Experience project managing and coordinating cross‑functional initiatives; ensuring team members work collaboratively to fulfill goals and objectives.
  • Passion for learning new products and industries—unafraid to dive into the nitty gritty technical details.
  • Comfortable coordinating the product release cycle, emphasizing key factors such as documentation and customer communications.
  • Great at simplifying complex technical requirements into plain English.
  • Experience conducting customer interviews and analyzing sales calls to build empathy and deliver product insights.
  • Comfortable collaborating with sales to build one pagers, competitive battlecards, and other resources.
  • A willingness to roll up your sleeves, get scrappy, and get it done—we are a startup after all!
Success Looks Like
  • Communication — Convert complex ideas into clear, compelling stories through exceptional written, oral, and visual communication skills
  • Public Speaking — Comfortable with presenting to large groups internally and externally
  • Research — Ability to identify and effectively translate market trends and competitive analysis into meaningful insights for the team
  • Problem Solving — Tactically address problems and cut through ambiguity
  • Cross‑Team Collaboration — Manage projects across stakeholders in Sales, Partnerships, Customer Success, and Product
Nice to Have
  • Experience selling to product managers, developers, or technical audiences
  • Familiarity with HR Technology platforms; specifically payroll, benefits, or retirement
What We Offer
  • Competitive equity with a 10‑year exercise window
  • Full medical, dental, and vision coverage (100% for employees, 85% for dependents)
  • Unlimited PTO (with a 3‑week minimum)
  • 401(k) plan
  • Regular team offsites and meetups
  • Hybrid work: 2+ days/week in our SF Office
