About Hilbert
Hilbert is a scalable, data science-first growth engine that gives B2C teams predictive clarity into user behavior, revenue drivers, and the actions that drive sustainable growth. Fully agentic by design, Hilbert shrinks months-long decision cycles to minutes.
From Fortune 10 enterprises to beloved brands like FreshDirect, Blank Street, and Levain Bakery, operators run their growth on Hilbert. We're also co-building alongside leading AI companies.
About The Role
Hilbert sells AI growth infrastructure to the executives who own revenue at large consumer businesses. The product is a system of models, agents and integrations. The buyer is a CMO, a CFO or a chief growth officer who needs it explained in one sentence and proved on one page. The Product Marketing Lead owns that translation.
You run product marketing the way a general manager runs a business line. You decide what the market hears about Hilbert, you write it, you put it in sellers' hands, and you are measured on whether it moves deals.
What the role is
The Product Marketing Lead owns how Hilbert is described to the market and how sellers are equipped to describe it. Positioning and messaging, the case study library, the core deck and one-pagers, the competitive answers, the webinar content, and the onboarding and certification of every new seller on the pitch.
You are the first product marketer at Hilbert. The materials you write are the ones sellers use the same week. You write them yourself; there is no content team behind you.
The impact you will have
- Write the positioning: who Hilbert is for, what it replaces, and why a company with a capable data team still buys it. Test it in live sales calls and revise it from what moves deals.
- Build the case study library from measured customer results. Each one with the baseline, the holdout, the result and the timeline, in a form the customer approves and a CFO believes.
- Own the core sales deck and the one-pagers per vertical, so that a seller in retail, banking, QSR or airlines opens with proof from their buyer's industry.
- Write the competitive answers: against predictive-LTV vendors, against marketing clouds, and against the buyer's own data science team, which is often the real alternative in a deal.
- Design the webinar and briefing content. Field marketing fills the room. You decide what the room hears.
- Onboard and certify every new seller on the pitch, the proof points and the objections, with a target of weeks rather than months to their first qualified opportunity.
- Run win and loss reviews and feed what you learn into positioning, the product roadmap and pricing.
- Keep the ICP and personas current from the pipeline, so outbound and events target the buyers who hold budget.
How you are measured
- Weeks from a seller's start to their first qualified opportunity.
- Share of active sellers certified on the current pitch.
- Share of late-stage deals using the current deck and case studies rather than a local version.
- Win rate against the build-it-ourselves objection.
What we look for
- Writing is the craft. You can explain a model score in a subject line and a holdout test in a paragraph, and sellers use what you write unedited. We will ask for the deck and the case study you wrote, not the brief you handed to someone else.
- Positioning judgement. You read a buyer, a product moment and a room, and you know which story lands. You can also say why the other stories would not.
- You know the customer and the product better than anyone else in the building. You sit in sales calls, read the lost deals, and change the pitch on what you hear rather than on what you assume.
- Credible on both sides of the table. You can explain a machine-learning score, a holdout and a data integration to a CMO, and hold your own with the engineers who built them. You have marketed data, ML, martech or ad-tech products to enterprise buyers.
- A general manager's view of the function. You set the strategy and then you do the work, from the positioning document to the one-pager to the seller certification.
- Proof over claims. You have turned customer data into case studies a finance buyer accepts: baselines, control groups, measured lift, and the discipline to leave out what cannot be proved.
- Enablement measured by adoption. The measure of your work is what sellers use in live deals, not how many assets exist.
- Operational backbone. You build the launch playbook, the asset library and the certification so that the second launch is faster than the first.
- Works without authority. Sellers, founders and engineers take your edits because they are right, not because of your title. Low ego, direct, fast.
- Comfortable at startup pace, with no team to delegate to at first and a bias to ship over a bias to plan.
- Uses AI tools daily to draft, research and produce. You will be asked to show how.
- Six or more years in product marketing or a closely related role at a B2B software company with a sales-led motion, with at least two years where you owned sales enablement outright. Has built positioning and the first set of sales materials from nothing, at a company where the playbook was still undefined.
Nice to have: experience in building materials for technical products where the customers were across retail, grocery, QSR industries; time at a CDP, CRM or marketing-cloud vendor; experience building a seller certification programme; Spanish.
Your first ninety days
- Weeks 1 to 3. Learn the product from the founders and the engineers. Sit in on live calls in every region. Read every deck and proposal in use.
- Weeks 4 to 8. Publish the positioning, the core deck and the first three case studies. Write the build-versus-buy answer and test it on two live deals.
- Weeks 9 to 12. Certify the current sellers on the pitch. Run the first win and loss review. Tell us what the positioning got wrong.
Interview process
- Recruiter screen, 30 minutes.
- Hiring manager, 45 minutes: the role, the material in use today, your track record.
- Writing exercise, take-home. Two anonymised call transcripts and a measured customer result. Produce a one-page case study and the three-minute version of the Hilbert pitch.
- Panel, 45 minutes: a regional sales leader, the product lead and a founder. How you prioritise, how you take feedback from sellers, how you work with engineers.
