Director of Product Marketing – IT & HR Service Management

We are looking for a creative, motivated and passionate Director of Product Marketing who can drive vision, messaging and awareness for our IT & HR Service Management solutions, while working with cross functional teams to deliver our product marketing strategy. You will have demonstrable expertise in all areas of product marketing — product positioning & messaging, strategy and segmentation, customer & competitive intelligence, etc. You will have experience in building scalable programs and demonstrate the ability to drive cross-functional alignment. Strong presentation skills, executive presence and ability to deal with ambiguity.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with sales & solution engineers to develop content and enablement programs that fuel pipeline and close deals
  • Be a part of a team that helps define differentiated, clear and customer-centric narrative, value props, positioning and messaging.
  • Translate our marketing initiatives into actionable programs and align with our digital & field marketing teams to help drive demand generation.
  • Drive the creation and delivery of thought leadership content, webinars, blogs, and case studies to drive the industry message.
  • Transform and operationalize internal and external marketing communications.
  • Develop repeatable, scalable processes to better train sales teams, and drive always-on sales plays and programs.
  • Partner closely with product teams to shape differentiated product investments that drive innovation for our customers.
  • Build the core value proposition and selling points with input from product management, sales leadership, field marketing, and customer insights teams.
  • Lead product launch plans and develop effective sales training materials.
  • Confidently deliver presentations to audiences of all sizes
What does the ideal candidate look like?
Required Skills:
  • 8+ years of experience in product marketing, industry marketing or corporate marketing.
  • Experience in IT Service Management, or other applicable IT domains like IT Operations or Asset Management
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present to executive leaders, cross-functional partners, and customers
  • Expertise in creating strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and align with global stakeholders
  • Ability to create a range of marketing assets (including on-message product demo videos, sharp succinct slide pitch-decks in Apple Keynote and Microsoft PowerPoint), product data sheets.
  • Ability to use data and analytics to drive decision-making as well as a consistent track record of setting and delivering against measurable marketing metrics.
  • Ability to strategize and craft compelling messaging and positioning for technology products.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with the Salesforce products and/or other IT Service Management solutions or platforms preferred
  • Get-it-Done confidence to pick up and lead new projects even in the face of ambiguity

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $164,000 - $261,500 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
