Job summary

McLaughlin Body Company in Anderson, SC is seeking a mechanical engineer to maintain and improve customer drawings for sheet metal fabricated components. Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to create parametric, surface and solid models.
• Ability to read blueprints (GD&T) and interpret customer drawings.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; able to document results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and model improvements for customer drawings in CREO.
• Identify, analyze and mitigate risk in engineering processes (DFMEA).
• Review specifications and determine manufacturability; coordinate with vendors/customers.
• Lead cross-functional teams to improve productivity, quality, and processes; support KAIZEN activities.
