Position Overview
We are searching for a highly creative, data-driven, and results-orientated Product Manager with proven experience in the lighting industry to lead all product and channel initiatives for Viro Lighting. Acting as both the voice of the customer and brand champion, you’ll collaborate with design, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to define the product roadmap, bring new lighting designs to market, and drive go-to-market success across multiple distribution channels. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and natural collaborator with deep lighting product expertise, a strong understanding of lighting technologies and trends, and a passion for design-forward, specification-grade lighting. You should be comfortable navigating the unique demands of decorative and architectural lighting, from aesthetics and materials to performance and compliance while moving seamlessly between high-level strategy and hands-on execution.
Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities
Lighting Product Development & Lifecycle Management
· Define and manage the end-to-end lighting product roadmap aligned with customer insights and brand vision.
· Lead the lighting product development lifecycle, including concepting, prototyping, testing and final release.
· Translate market data, customer feedback, and competitive lighting research into actionable product features and innovations.
· Set financial goals, pricing strategies, cost targets, and development timelines.
· Manage the full product lifecycle from ideation to launch to end-of-life decisions.
Go-To-Market & Channel Strategy
· Collaborating with marketing and sales to develop impactful go-to-market (GTM) strategies.
· Develop compelling product positioning, sales tools, and customer-facing assets.
· Coordinate the launch of new products across all channels, including timelines, training, and promotions.
· Manage product data, specifications, and visual assets for both internal and external stakeholders.
· Partner with operations and logistics teams to align product readiness with ordering, fulfillment, and shipping strategies.
Education and Experience Requirements
· Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering or related field required.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Access and Adobe Creative Suite.
Qualifications
· 3+ years in product management, ideally within lighting, design/build, or adjacent industries (furnishings, electrical, architectural products).
· Strong understanding of decorative and architectural lighting categories, including finishes, materials, lamping types, and control systems.
· Deep knowledge of product development processes within the lighting or design industry.
· Ability to assess trends in lighting design, codes & standards, energy compliance, and consumer preferences.
· Excellent communication and storytelling skills with a sharp eye for design language and visual presentation.
· Experience working cross-functionally with industrial designers, engineers, sourcing, and marketing teams.
· High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
