The role emphasizes user research, testable interactions, and data-driven outcomes. Ideal candidates have shipped consumer social features and can justify design choices with evidence.

Qualifications

• Has designed and shipped consumer social experiences; portfolio shows feeds, profiles, sharing, messaging, discovery, or communities.
• Strong interaction design craft; explain why a flow is structured a certain way and what users notice first.
• Can build realistic interactive prototypes.
• Uses Figma, code, AI tools or a mix to demonstrate behavior with transitions, empty states, and failure states.
• Understands behavior through evidence; can show user research challenged assumptions and changed a design.
• Owns product outcomes; can prioritize a problem, define success, interpret funnel data, and explain experiment impact.
• Understands the context of social finance and how credibility, incentives, and visibility affect sharing decisions.
• Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is stated.

Responsibilities

• Design complete social journeys from discovery to follow, share, idea/trade, responses, and return.
• Shape navigation, information hierarchy, copy, defaults, gestures, and feedback; specify handling for empty feeds or slow loads.
• Prototype before build; communicate intended behavior to engineering with clear flows and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with data science to evaluate experiments and impact on contributors and audiences.
• Translate motivations into decisions about audience visibility, prompts, reputation, and effort required to contribute.
• Maintain usability during active sessions with appropriate privacy controls and testing across interactions.
