Job summary

Echodyne seeks a Product Manager to own the roadmap for its radar accessory ecosystem, including deployment kits, mounting solutions, power systems, cables, and future accessories that simplify customer deployment. You will act as the voice of the customer, partnering with engineering, operations, suppliers, and external development partners.

You will translate customer needs into clear product requirements and prioritize investments based on value, feasibility, and cost while collaborating

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a technical discipline.
  • 3+ years of product management or hardware-focused product experience.
  • Experience translating customer problems into clear product requirements.
  • Ability to work with external vendors, OEMs, and contract manufacturers.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for Echodyne's radar accessory portfolio.
  • Engage with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to identify deployment challenges and opportunities.
  • Translate customer needs into clear product requirements and business cases.
  • Prioritize investments based on customer value, impact, feasibility, and cost.
  • Collaborate with engineering to define technical requirements balancing cost and quality.
  • Partner with design, manufacturing, and suppliers through development and launch.
  • Coordinate with Program Management on schedules, risks, and readiness.
  • Support sourcing decisions and supplier transitions with Supply Chain.
  • Develop pricing, packaging, and go-to-market recommendations with Marketing and Sales.
  • Monitor feedback and market trends to improve the accessory portfolio.
  • Represent the voice of the customer throughout development.

Echodyne offers the world’s first compact solid-state true beam-steering radar for a wide range of industries and applications. Our high-performance radars work in all weather and are designed for autonomous vehicles, uncrewed aircraft & drones, and security of borders, critical infrastructure, and smart cities. The company combines the patented technology of metamaterials with powerful software to create a radar sensor with unprecedented performance at commercial price points. Echodyne offers its radars to companies working in Automotive, Transportation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Border Security, Smart Cities, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Airspace Management including Urban Air Mobility (UTM).

Echodyne is seeking a Product Manager to join our fast-growing team.
ROLE OVERVIEW

The Product Manager will own the roadmap for Echodyne's accessory ecosystem, including deployment kits, mounting solutions, power systems, cables, junction boxes, tripods, and future accessories that simplify customer integration and deployment. Acting as the voice of the customer, this individual will translate operational needs into products that improve the customer experience while partnering closely with engineering, operations, suppliers, and external development partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for Echodyne's radar accessory portfolio.
  • Engage with customers, integrators, partners, and internal stakeholders to understand deployment challenges and identify new accessory opportunities.
  • Translate customer needs into clear product requirements and business cases.
  • Prioritize accessory investments based on customer value, business impact, technical feasibility, and cost.
  • Partner with engineering to develop technical requirements while balancing cost, usability, manufacturability, and quality.
  • Work closely with external design, manufacturing, and technology partners throughout product development and launch.
  • Collaborate with Program Management to manage schedules, risks, dependencies, and product readiness.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Supplier Management to support sourcing decisions, supplier selection, and product transitions.
  • Develop pricing, packaging, and go-to-market recommendations with Marketing, Sales, and Solutions Engineering.
  • Monitor customer feedback, field performance, and market trends to continuously improve the accessory portfolio.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer throughout the product development lifecycle.
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or another technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of product management or related experience managing technical hardware products.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to translate customer problems into clear product requirements and prioritized roadmaps.
  • Experience working with external suppliers, OEM partners, contract manufacturers, or technology partners.
  • Ability to balance customer needs, cost, quality, schedule, and business objectives when making product decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple products and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience bringing products from concept through launch and ongoing lifecycle management.
DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE (Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills)
  • Experience with ruggedized hardware, sensors, electronics, or industrial equipment.
  • Experience with mechanical or electromechanical products such as enclosures, mounting systems, power systems, or cables.
  • Familiarity with defense, aerospace, public safety, or industrial markets.
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers and supplier ecosystems.

WHAT WE OFFER
This is an exempt role.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $114,330 — $170,980 USD.
