Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. in Towson, MD is seeking a Product Manager to join our hybrid team. You will own the power tool accessories portfolio and partner across functions to drive launches, pricing, and portfolio health.

You’ll analyze market and customer insights to shape product decisions while coordinating with engineering, operations, and sales to ensure readiness and successful go-to-market. Remote work components and travel may apply.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Product Management experience required; consumer products, power tools or related durable goods preferred.
  • Experience leading products through multiple lifecycle stages.
  • Ability to interpret data and financial information to drive recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Power Tool Accessories portfolio for the Craftsman team and related categories.
  • Lead products through full lifecycle from planning to end-of-life actions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, sourcing, sales, and marketing to define requirements.
  • Support new product development, go-to-market readiness, and pricing analysis.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and propose actions to improve results.
  • Prepare recommendations and updates for internal stakeholders.

The Job:

As a Product Manager, you’ll be part of our Tools & Outdoor team working as a Hybrid employee in Towson, MD. You’ll get to:

  • Manage the Power Tool Accessories portfolio for the CRAFTSMAN Power Tools Team, while supporting additional categories as business needs evolve.
  • Lead assigned products through the full lifecycle, including planning, development support, launch execution, in-market management, and end-of-life actions where applicable.
  • Support product line and portfolio planning by identifying opportunities to improve competitiveness, strengthen assortment, and address customer and end‑user needs.
  • Gather and apply market, customer, end‑user, and competitive insights to inform product decisions, positioning, and portfolio recommendations.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, quality, sourcing, sales, and marketing teams to help define requirements and deliver products that meet customer expectations and business objectives.
  • Support new product development and commercialization efforts, helping ensure readiness across functions and alignment to timing, quality, and cost expectations.
  • Contribute to launch planning and execution, including internal coordination, product content, training support, and go‑to‑market readiness.
  • Monitor portfolio performance using sales, margin, market, and customer feedback data, and recommend actions to improve business results.
  • Support pricing analysis, business case development, and other financial evaluations tied to new and existing products.
  • Identify opportunities to improve portfolio health through cost optimization, complexity reduction, and lifecycle actions.
  • Prepare clear recommendations, presentations, and updates for internal stakeholders and business reviews.
  • Collaborate effectively with North America‑based partners while working with global teams to support broader product and business objectives.

  • BS or BA in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Product Management experience required; supporting consumer products, power tools, accessories, hardware, outdoor products, or other durable goods categories preferred.
  • Experience supporting or managing products through multiple stages of the product lifecycle.
  • Ability to interpret data, trends, and financial information to tell a story and drive business recommendations.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite required; experience using PowerBI, SAP/BW, Metastorm, Windchill or Qlikeview is a plus.

The Salary range for this position is $62,200.00 - $100,200.00
