Job Title: Payments Strategy Lead - RFP (Contract)

Location: San Francisco, CA (preferred) – Candidates from Dallas, TX and Detroit, MI are also welcome to apply

Hybrid Role in either Dallas, San Francisco or Detroit offices

Contract Duration: 6+ Months

A leading financial services client seeks a Payments (Request for Payment) Strategy Lead for a 6+ month contract. This role focuses on driving the end-to-end RFP process strategy for innovative payment platform solutions. Ideal for professionals with strong experience in U.S. payments and cross-functional project leadership, especially within financial services or fintech environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design workflows, manage end-to-end responses, and collaborate across the Payments organization to ensure timely and accurate responses.
• Process Development: create a centralized RFP process with standardized templates, workflows, and best practices to streamline responses.
• RFP Coordination: handle multiple RFP requests simultaneously, meeting strict deadlines.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: act as the main contact for the Sales team and work with subject matter experts to gather information for deliverables.
• Content Management: build and maintain a repository of approved RFP responses and establish review schedules for accuracy.
• Reporting: develop and present RFP metrics such as win rate and turnaround time.
• Continuous Improvement: evaluate and enhance the RFP process using feedback and automation tools to improve metrics and quality.

Position Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or 7 years of relevant experience
• Minimum 5 years in Product Management, Project Management, or Payment Operations
• Minimum 5 years in Strategic Planning
• Minimum 5 years in U.S. Payments (ACH, Card, Wire, Check, Real-Time Payments)
• Experience managing or collaborating with Matrix teams for at least 5 years
• At least 3 years using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Payments or Treasury Management experience
• Knowledge of compliance and regulatory considerations for RFPs in financial services
