Job description

About the role

We’re hiring for a Product Manager to lead our Lending product at Chime. You'll own one of Chime's fastest-growing, highest NPS products and define the future of lending for millions of members—setting strategy, making the key product decisions, and leading the next phase of growth for one of Chime's most important businesses. This is an opportunity to reimagine how lending works in America by building products that help our members access credit responsibly and make meaningful financial progress.

As our Product Manager, you'll own the product end-to-end—from defining strategy and prioritizing investments to partnering across Engineering, Design, Data Science, Risk, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, and Finance to bring your vision to life. You'll inherit a profitable, high-growth business with significant runway ahead, giving you the opportunity to expand the product, unlock new member value, and shape the future of lending at Chime.

The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $196,000 and up to $255,000. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to
  • Own the Lending product strategy and roadmap end-to-end, balancing member impact, business growth, and long‑term platform investments.
  • Lead the next chapter of one of Chime's fastest‑growing and highest NPS products by expanding the product into new use cases and member experiences.
  • Reimagine how lending works for everyday Americans by delivering innovative, responsible financial products that help members make meaningful financial progress.
  • Drive product decisions across the full product lifecycle, partnering closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Risk, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, and Finance.
  • Make high‑conviction prioritization decisions and align cross‑functional teams around a clear product vision, measurable outcomes, and business impact.
  • Use customer insights, experimentation, and data to continuously improve the member experience while growing a profitable business.
  • Serve as the product leader for the team, creating clarity, setting direction, and ensuring exceptional execution from strategy through launch.
To thrive in this role, you have
  • Significant experience leading consumer product strategy and execution for high‑impact digital products from concept through scale.
  • A proven track record of owning complex product areas with measurable business outcomes, ideally including growth, monetization, or financial products.
  • Experience building or managing lending, credit, or other consumer financial products is strongly preferred.
  • Experience making strategic product decisions in highly cross‑functional environments with Engineering, Design, Analytics, Risk, and business partners.
  • Strong product intuition backed by data, with the ability to prioritize effectively and make thoughtful tradeoffs.
  • Experience building products that simplify complex customer problems and deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions and executive audiences.
