Job summary

Lightcast seeks a Product Manager for Knowledge Platform to drive the strategy and development of our knowledge-layer capabilities, spanning taxonomy, ontology, analytics, and AI-powered data products. You will translate customer problems into actionable product directions with autonomy and strong technical fluency.

The role requires 3+ years in data-focused roles, experience in data-rich environments, and a demonstrated ability to connect customer needs with data, AI, and engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a relevant field.
• 3+ years in a relevant role with demonstrated autonomy and ownership.
• Significant experience in a data-rich environment.
• Experience with data-focused products including strategy, discovery, and/or delivery.
• Technical fluency in data, analytics, AI, ML, taxonomy, ontology, or knowledge systems.
• Experience working cross-functionally with customers, engineering, data science, product, and commercial stakeholders.
• Ability to work directly with data, including exploratory analysis and data-quality assessment.
• Strong interest in AI, knowledge representation, labour market intelligence, and the future of work.

Responsibilities

• Define the strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities for the knowledge platform.
• Lead discovery of new capabilities by identifying customer problems, assessing data feasibility, and validating opportunities.
• Translate complex data opportunities into clear product requirements and success criteria.
• Partner with engineering, data science, taxonomy, analytics, and commercial teams.
• Balance customer value, data quality, technical feasibility, and business priorities in decisions.
• Communicate complex data-product concepts to technical, commercial, and executive stakeholders.
• Evaluate developments in AI, analytics, labour market intelligence, and knowledge technologies for opportunities.
• Use data to assess quality, explore opportunities, and guide product decisions.
