Job description

Product Manager - Inventory Analytics

Location: Remote

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Data Product Manager to lead internal data, analytics, and AI-enabled products that help business teams make better decisions and work more efficiently. This role sits at the intersection of product management, data & analytics, AI, technology, and business process transformation. Success in this position depends on user engagement, stakeholder alignment, workflow transformation, and adoption of internal products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the product strategy, roadmap, prioritization, and delivery of internal data, analytics, and AI products.
  • Partner closely with business stakeholders to understand workflows, pain points, goals, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate business needs into product requirements and actionable priorities for data science, engineering, and technology teams.
  • Identify opportunities to embed analytics and AI into existing business workflows to improve efficiency, decision-making, and business outcomes.
  • Challenge existing processes and help business teams adopt new and more effective ways of working.
  • Build strong relationships and trust with users, business leaders, data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Drive user adoption by understanding resistance, addressing concerns, and demonstrating measurable value.
  • Balance user feedback with broader company strategy and leadership priorities.
  • Manage changing requirements and competing priorities while maintaining a clear product direction.
  • Establish product goals, success metrics, and adoption measures.
  • Coordinate delivery against critical business and brand calendars and deadlines.
  • Lead product demos, gather feedback, and incorporate insights into the roadmap.
  • Identify risks, resolve issues, and appropriately escalate decisions when necessary.
  • Work with data and analytics teams to ensure products provide reliable, actionable insights.
  • Communicate product strategy, progress, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership and business stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of product management experience, preferably with data, analytics, AI, or technology products.
  • Demonstrated experience managing internal-facing products or platforms.
  • Strong experience partnering with business stakeholders across multiple functions or business units.
  • Proven ability to drive adoption of products that change existing business processes or workflows.
  • Strong understanding of product strategy, roadmaps, prioritization, requirements, and agile delivery.
  • Experience working closely with data science, analytics, engineering, or technology teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with changing requirements.
  • Working knowledge of SQL or query languages and an understanding of how data is structured and accessed.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into practical product solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AI/ML products or AI-enabled workflows.
  • Experience delivering analytics or data products used by large internal user populations.
  • Experience with workflow transformation or business process redesign.
  • Experience working in a complex, multi-brand or matrixed organization.
  • Experience using data to measure product adoption and business impact.
  • Experience with forecasting, planning, merchandising, supply chain, finance, or other data-intensive business processes.
  • Familiarity with modern data platforms, analytics tools, or AI technologies.
  • Experience working with SQL beyond basic querying is a plus, but deep SQL expertise is not required.
Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is endlessly curious and willing to understand how users work. This person should be a strong relationship builder who can earn trust with business users and is comfortable questioning existing processes. The role requires someone who is comfortable negotiating tradeoffs and managing changing requirements, and who can speak with executives, business users, data scientists, and engineers. The candidate should be highly collaborative but capable of independently driving decisions forward while focusing on outcomes and adoption rather than simply delivering features.

Why This Role Is Different

This is an opportunity to build products that change how the business operates. The team develops analytics and AI capabilities that become part of critical business workflows. Users may not be required to adopt these products, so the Product Manager must create value, build trust, understand user concerns, and demonstrate why the new approach is better. The successful candidate will help the business move from simply providing data and analytics to embedding intelligence directly into the way people work.
