As a Product Manager, Insurance Services, you will help shape the roadmap and delivery of capabilities that enable leading insurers to modernize their operations, improve customer experiences, and drive business outcomes.
What You’ll Do
You will own and drive the Insurance Services product roadmap, backlog, priorities, and release planning, working closely with Product Leadership, Architecture, Engineering, Delivery, Operations, Sales, and Customer Success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own and prioritize the product roadmap and Agile backlog based on customer needs, business value, technical feasibility, and strategic priorities.
- Translate business objectives and customer requirements into clear product capabilities, features, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Lead customer discovery, requirements gathering, collaborative workshops, and solution definition activities.
- Facilitate user story mapping, customer journey mapping, process modeling, design thinking, and other modern product discovery practices.
- Identify opportunities for business process re-engineering, automation, workflow optimization, and operational transformation.
- Partner with Architecture and Engineering to define scalable solutions using APIs, microservices, cloud technologies, event-driven architectures, workflow automation, and enterprise integrations.
- Define and prioritize requirements for APIs, integrations, reusable business services, data capabilities, and technical accelerators.
- Manage dependencies, risks, technical constraints, and competing priorities across multiple initiatives.
- Drive backlog refinement, release planning, sprint planning, and release readiness activities.
- Monitor roadmap execution and communicate progress, risks, milestones, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to evaluate modernization opportunities, technical debt, cloud adoption, and platform improvements.
- Support customer engagements, product demonstrations, RFP responses, go-to-market activities, and strategic growth initiatives.
- Ensure product requirements align with architecture, security, compliance, and operational standards.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Solution Design, Software Delivery, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Strong experience managing product roadmaps, Agile backlogs, release plans, and cross-functional delivery.
- Experience leading customer discovery sessions, requirements workshops, and collaborative solution design.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively across business, product, architecture, engineering, and operations teams.
Technical Skills
Required:
- Agile Product Management and Product Owner practices.
- Advanced experience with Jira for backlog, sprint, workflow, and release management.
- User Story Mapping, epic decomposition, story refinement, acceptance criteria, and backlog prioritization.
- Customer discovery, requirements elicitation, process modeling, and solution definition.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, API lifecycle management, integration patterns, and API-first design.
- Experience working with microservices, service-oriented architectures, and distributed systems.
- Understanding of event-driven architecture, workflow orchestration, and enterprise integration.
- Experience developing process flows, workflow diagrams, capability maps, business requirements, and solution documentation.
- Ability to partner with architects and engineers to define and deliver technical capabilities.
- Experience with cloud-based platforms and SaaS delivery models.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled workflows, automation, analytics, and digital transformation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in insurance operations, insurance technology, or business process services.
- Experience with large-scale modernization, digital transformation, API enablement, or cloud migration.
- Familiarity with DXC Assure solutions and the insurance technology ecosystem.
- Experience with platform modernization, systems integration, and operational transformation.
