Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking a Product Manager III to lead intent understanding across Expedia Group’s Search and Recommendations experiences. You will define strategy, roadmap, and operating model to connect traveler intent to relevant results, working with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Design, Research, and business stakeholders.

You will establish how traveler signals are captured and refined, translate problems into measurable outcomes, and partner with Data Science on model objectives,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of product management experience, including ownership of a platform or capability.
• Demonstrated experience taking products from concept to scaled adoption.
• Data fluency, including proficiency with experimentation tooling and data analysis used to design and evaluate tests.
• Experience with machine learning backed products such as ranking or recommendation systems.

Responsibilities

• Define the product strategy, operating model, and roadmap for intent understanding across Expedia Group’s Search and Recommendations experiences.
• Represent traveler intent through explicit queries, inferred preferences, trip context, constraints, and changes in intent.
• Collaborate with Data Science and ML teams on model objectives, feature priorities, evaluation frameworks, and responsible use of personalization signals.
• Work with Engineering and platform teams to define scalable interfaces, data contracts, instrumentation, and self-service capabilities.
• Develop alignment across a complex stakeholder environment and communicate product direction clearly to senior leaders and delivery teams.
