Job summary

Paychex is seeking a Product Manager to lead overall product lines and guide design, distribution strategies, and promotions. You will prioritize efforts, execute the roadmap, and collaborate with Sales, IT, and UX teams to deliver value. Strong CRM knowledge (Salesforce, HubSpot) and leadership experience are essential.

The role focuses on driving product strategy, backlog management, and successful launches within a dynamic Paychex environment in Chicago.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in Product management with leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication, innovation, sales, and management skills.
• Familiar with Agile methodologies, product roadmaps, and UX.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize product efforts and engage with customers and stakeholders to understand goals and value.
• Execute the short-term product roadmap and integrate into broader strategy.
• Lead functional design, scoping, and requirements gathering based on users and tech.
• Manage product backlog and priorities with business and tech partners; trade-offs with business teams.
• Coordinate communication, elevate risks, and drive changes tied to backlog.
• Understand offerings in detail; provide SME responses to inquiries from sales and customers.
• Communicate delivery status to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop product launch content with the launch team.
• Conduct partnership meetings with IT Support and UX teams.
• Demonstrate understanding of CRM functionality (Salesforce, HubSpot).

Overview

Manages overall product lines and reviews. Manages product design, distribution strategies and promotion in order to optimize the goals of product lines.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize product efforts and engage continuously with customers and stakeholders to understand their business goals, motivating factors, and the relative impact and/or business value.
• Execute the short-term product roadmap and integrate it into a larger application or strategic roadmap.
• Lead the product functional design, scoping, and requirements-gathering process based on a strong understanding of users and technology.
• Lead and manage the product backlog and priorities with business and technology partners; make informed trade-offs with business teams.
• Coordinate communication, elevate risks and issues, and facilitate resolution of changes tied to the product backlog.
• Understand product and service offerings in detail, including functionality and technology context; provide subject matter expertise in response to inquiries from sales, customers, prospects, and other stakeholders.
• Communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders impacted by the program or feature being implemented regarding delivery status and content.
• Develop product launch content in partnership with the launch team.
• Conduct partnership meetings with IT Support and UX teams.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of CRM functionality, architecture, capabilities, and best practices, including Salesforce and HubSpot.

Qualifications
