Job summary

Surescripts serves the nation through trusted health information sharing to improve patient safety and care quality. The Product Manager II - Retrospective Prior Authorization leads product excellence across the Prior Authorization Retrospective portfolio, overseeing quality, reliability, user experience, and fit to customer and market needs.

You will own an 18‑month roadmap, conduct direct customer discovery, translate insights into decisions, and collaborate with a peer Technical Leader.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in related, progressive roles
• 5+ years in healthcare or related business field (EHRs, HIEs, Public Health, etc.)
• 5+ years assessing market and customer needs for information products/services
• 5+ years building and managing new products
• 1+ years product lifecycle management (ideate, define, build, launch, manage)
• Experience promoting new concepts and gaining stakeholder support

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the Product Excellence vision for the assigned product, solution, or capability.
• Own and maintain an 18-month product roadmap aligned to customer and business outcomes, target segments, and portfolio role.
• Determine roadmap priorities based on customer discovery, product-health data, strategic direction, and capacity; establish measurable success criteria.
• Monitor roadmap progress, risks, dependencies, commitments, and outcomes; communicate directions to stakeholders and customers.
• Lead discovery, research, concept validation, and product feedback to understand workflows, needs, pain points, outcomes.
• Synthesize customer insight and product-health analytics into product decisions.
• Capture and evaluate problems and ideas for strategic fit, value, viability, and impact; identify opportunities and dependencies across Product.
• Maintain ideas intake and prioritization within SLAs.
• Define customer problem, business need, intended outcome, and success measures for investments.
• Define and prioritize features and capabilities to deliver roadmap outcomes.
• Create and maintain feature definitions with requirements and acceptance criteria for agile planning.
• Collaborate with analysts, UX, Technical Leaders, and delivery teams to translate intent into work.
