Advantech in Tustin, CA is seeking a Product Manager II for ODM/Server to guide product direction from concept to launch onsite at our North American Headquarters.

The role requires 4+ years in product management within technology or embedded computing, with experience launching hardware products, Agile environments, and managing manufacturing partners. Competitive salary of $90,000-$110,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Product Manager or in a similar product management role within technology, embedded computing, server, or related hardware industries.
• 4+ years of experience managing manufacturing partners across multiple regions and coordinating cross‑functional activities related to product quality, schedule, cost, and delivery.
• Proven track record launching and managing hardware products from concept through delivery.
• In-depth knowledge of product planning, market analysis, and roadmap development within technology, embedded computing, server, or related hardware industries.
• Experience working within Agile development environments and using project management tools.
• Experience translating data and market insights into product and business decisions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree a plus.
• Experience in ODM, OEM, or JDM product environments.
• Experience with embedded computing, server computing, or related hardware technologies.
• Experience supporting products for Medical, Industrial Equipment, or other specialized technology markets.

• Translate customer and market needs into product specifications, roadmap priorities, business cases, and actionable development plans.
• Monitor market and competitive trends in embedded computing, including Medical or Industrial Equipment markets, and identify growth opportunities and guide product strategy.
• Partner with senior leadership to define ODM strategy and guide the team in building product and technology roadmaps aligned with global product teams.
• Provide direction on feature prioritization, resource allocation, and portfolio management to support growth and maximize product value.
• Oversee end-to-end product development (NPI) from concept through launch, ensuring projects meet quality standards and timelines.
• Own product cost, pricing, margin, and commercial terms; evaluate NRE, recurring cost, tooling, logistics, warranty, and risk to support profitable business decisions.
• Review and provide feedback on product requirements, technical specifications, and documentation produced by the team.
• Monitor progress across the portfolio, identify risks, and resolve escalations to prevent delays.
• Drive alignment with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Sales on goals, priorities, and timelines.
• Guide market research on customer needs, trends, and competitive dynamics to inform product vision and strategy.

About this position

We’re looking for a Product Manager to join our ODM/Server product team in our new North American Headquarters in Tustin, CA.
