Nelnet Business Services (NBS) is seeking a Product Manager II to discover market problems, validate opportunities, and shape product roadmaps with executive stakeholders. This role focuses on the development of vision informed by market research and competitive landscape.

The position collaborates with product owners and development teams to deliver results, while measuring performance to drive revenue, customer impact, and NPS. Hybrid work is available and visa sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of product management experience.
• K-12 or education-market domain knowledge.
• Preferred: Platform/hub-and-spoke product experience.
• Technical fluency — comfortable with APIs, MCPs, and modern data concepts.
• FSTC/SGO knowledge/Financial Aid.

Responsibilities

• Develops market opportunities and advances FACTS as a thought leader.
• Collaborates with Marketing and Sales on strategy and competitive advantages.
• Profiles competitors and defines winning strategies over 1–3 years.
• Ensures product backlog aligns with long-term vision.
• Maintains roadmaps linked to strategy and yearly goals.
• Performs client win/loss analyses and shares results.
• Manages product launch processes and measures client satisfaction.
• Monitors KPIs to assess market performance and revenue impact.
