Job Description As a Product Manager II within NextGear Capital, you will play a key role in supporting strategic business and technology initiatives that drive value for our customers, partners, and internal teams. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, and product leadership to identify opportunities, define solutions, and deliver capabilities that improve operational effectiveness and business outcomes. In this role, you will translate business strategy and stakeholder insights into actionable product plans, define and prioritize requirements at the epic and feature level, and maintain a well-groomed product backlog. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams across product, engineering, operations, and business functions to ensure the successful delivery of solutions that align with organizational priorities and strategic objectives. Your responsibilities will span product discovery, backlog management, stakeholder engagement, roadmap planning, and identifying opportunities for future enhancements based on customer needs, operational challenges, and business goals. Success in this role requires strong product ownership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while driving alignment and execution across diverse stakeholders.
Who You Are Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 2 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and up to 2 years’ experience; or 14 years’ experience in a related field Foundational skills in managing multiple priorities, gathering and analyzing requirements, translating business needs into actionable product outcomes, and working across cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.
Experience collaborating with business stakeholders and technology teams to drive alignment, solve problems, and support successful execution of product initiatives. Demonstrates strong ownership, accountability, and an ability to operate effectively in environments with evolving priorities and ambiguity. Acts with integrity and has foundational skills in building partnerships, driving innovation, and balancing strategic objectives with execution and delivery.
Preferred Experience within financial services, lending, fintech, automotive finance, or related industries. Experience working closely with software engineering teams in an Agile environment. Familiarity with product management practices including roadmap planning, backlog prioritization, user story development, stakeholder management. Technology savvy in emerging areas such as AI-enabled products, automation, analytics, and digital transformation. Experience driving innovation, continuous improvement, and adoption of new capabilities while maintaining focus on delivering measurable business value.
