Responsibilities

• Understand customer needs, business requirements, user feedback, and product issues to support product improvements.
• Gather, clarify, and document product requirements by working with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into clear user stories, workflows, functional requirements, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Manage and maintain assigned backlog items and ensure requirements and acceptance criteria are clearly documented.
• Support Product Managers and stakeholders with feature prioritization by providing information such as customer impact and urgency.
• Work with Engineering, Design, QA, Business, Operations, Compliance and other teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning and reviews.
• Provide requirements clarification and product support to Engineering and QA during development and testing.
• Review completed features against requirements and acceptance criteria and report gaps or issues.
• Support User Acceptance Testing and coordinate follow-up items.
• Support feature releases including validation, release docs, testing coordination, and communication.
• Collect and review customer feedback, support issues, product usage, and user behavior for improvements.
• Conduct competitor research and basic market analysis as needed.

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Product Manager I with approximately 1-2 years of professional experience to support the development and enhancement of digital products, including healthcare and digital health solutions. The candidate will work closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Design, QA, Business, Operations, Compliance, and other stakeholders to understand customer and business needs, document product requirements, manage assigned backlog items, and support the successful delivery of product features.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working in an Agile product development environment, strong analytical and communication skills, and an interest in emerging technologies such as AI, Generative AI, automation, and digital health. Healthcare or digital health industry experience is preferred but not required.

Location: Laguna Hills, CA (This is an onsite role. Relocation assistance is not available at this time.)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm PST

Duties and Responsibilities

• Understand customer needs, business requirements, user feedback, and product issues to support product improvements.
• Gather, clarify, and document product requirements by working with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into clear user stories, workflows, functional requirements, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Manage and maintain assigned backlog items and ensure requirements and acceptance criteria are clearly documented.
• Support Product Managers and stakeholders with feature prioritization by providing relevant information such as customer impact, business needs, dependencies, and urgency.
• Work closely with Engineering, Design, QA, Business, Operations, Compliance, and other teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning.
• Provide requirements clarification and product support to Engineering and QA teams during development and testing.
• Review completed features against documented requirements and acceptance criteria and report any gaps or issues.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including documenting feedback and coordinating follow-up items.
• Support feature releases, including requirements validation, release documentation, testing coordination, and stakeholder communication.
• Collect and review customer feedback, support issues, product usage information, and user behavior to identify potential opportunities for improvement.
• Conduct competitor research and basic market analysis when needed to support product decisions.
• Support the definition and tracking of product metrics and KPIs for assigned features.
• Create and maintain product documentation, including requirements, user stories, workflows, feature specifications, and release documentation.
• Identify product gaps, dependencies, risks, blockers, and unclear requirements within assigned areas and communicate them to the Product Manager or relevant stakeholders.
• Support the evaluation of new technologies and product capabilities, including AI, Generative AI, and automation use cases.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and product management best practices.
• Work with Engineering, Compliance, Security, and other relevant teams to ensure applicable privacy, security, regulatory, and compliance requirements are considered within product requirements.
• Maintain assigned product tickets and documentation in Jira, Confluence, or other product management tools in a timely manner.
• Additional duties and responsibilities in different areas of the department on an as-needed basis or as determined by management.

Required Qualifications

• Approximately 1-2 years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or a related product role.
• Hands-on experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Experience creating or supporting user stories, acceptance criteria, functional requirements, workflows, and product documentation.
• Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle and collaboration between Product, Engineering, Design, and QA teams.
• Ability to gather, organize, and analyze requirements and translate business needs into clear product requirements.
• Ability to manage assigned backlog items, tickets, and priorities effectively.
• Ability to manage assigned product features or workflows with guidance from Product Management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in healthcare, digital health, health-tech, medical software, or healthcare SaaS is a plus, but not required.
• Interest or exposure to AI, Generative AI, or automation.
• Familiarity with product management and Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Experience working with product analytics, reporting, or business intelligence tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with healthcare privacy, security, regulatory, or compliance concepts is a plus.

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements for this role includes constant sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. May frequently move about inside and outside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or attend meetings. Must be physically able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e., a projector, copy machine, video camera, etc.). Must be able to constantly communicate with colleagues and clients including via telephone and email. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
