Lightcast is seeking a Product Manager, Emerging Technologies, to execute AI product capabilities enabling Lightcast data and services for AI platforms, agents, and emerging ecosystems. You will translate AI strategy into shipped products, owning MCP-focused delivery, and collaborating with engineering, data science, and security.
You will drive requirements, backlogs, and release plans while partnering with Security, Legal, and Product Leadership to ensure secure, scalable solutions.
The Product Manager, Emerging Technologies, is responsible for executing and delivering AI product capabilities that enable Lightcast data and services to be securely consumed and used by AI platforms, agents, and emerging AI ecosystems. Working closely with Product Leadership, Engineering, Data Science, and Security, this role translates Lightcast's AI strategy into shipped products and capabilities, with an initial focus on Model Context Protocol (MCP) and other emerging approaches for delivering Lightcast data into AI-driven experiences.
This role owns the day-to-day product execution required to move AI initiatives from defined strategy through development, launch, adoption, and continuous improvement. The Product Manager partners closely with technical teams to translate product direction and customer needs into clear requirements, prioritize the backlog, manage tradeoffs and dependencies, and ensure delivered capabilities are secure, scalable, reliable, and valuable to customers.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with highly technical teams, is comfortable navigating emerging AI technologies, and excels at translating strategy into action. They bring strong product judgment, disciplined execution, and the ability to turn complex technical concepts into products and experiences that customers can understand and use.
Execute the product roadmap for AI data delivery capabilities, with an initial focus on MCP and evolving opportunities across agents, LLMs, and other AI-enabled experiences.
Translate product strategy into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release plans that support effective delivery.
Own and prioritize the product backlog, making day-to-day product decisions based on customer value, technical feasibility, business priorities, and delivery constraints within the defined AI strategy..
Partner closely with Engineering throughout development, testing, and release cycles.
Partner with Engineering to deliver secure, scalable capabilities that enable AI platforms, agents, and AI-enabled products to consume and use Lightcast data.
Define functional requirements for MCP capabilities, AI data access, orchestration workflows, agent interactions, and related AI data delivery experiences.
Evaluate emerging AI technologies, standards, and delivery approaches and recommend practical applications within the established AI strategy.
Partner with Security, Legal, Data, and Product Leadership to ensure AI delivery capabilities protect Lightcast data and intellectual property and align with security, governance, licensing, customer usage rights, and responsible AI requirements.
Gather customer and partner feedback to understand AI data delivery needs and translate those insights into actionable product enhancements.
Work with Customer Success, Sales, and Solution Engineering to validate product requirements and support customer adoption.
Define success metrics and monitor usage, adoption, customer feedback, and post-launch performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
Coordinate cross-functional dependencies across Product, Engineering, Security, and Data Science.
Identify product delivery risks, manage tradeoffs and dependencies, and elevate blockers when needed.
