Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide strategic leadership and oversight

for the entire automation product line, ensuring its success across design, development,

pricing, promotion, distribution, and lifecycle management. This role reports directly to

the Vice President and is accountable for aligning the product strategy with company

objectives while driving growth and market success.

  • Product Lifecycle Management - Oversee all stages of the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch optimization. Collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure product timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Marketing and Sales Support - Assist with creating and enhancing marketing collateral (e.g., brochures, websites, catalogs) and work cross-functionally with marketing and sales teams to execute product launches. Provide product knowledge and sales training for internal teams and partners to ensure clear, effective communication regarding the product line.
  • Vendor and Stakeholder Management - Cultivate and manage strong relationships with vendors, ensuring alignment on product specifications, timelines, and cost structures.
  • Market Research and Competitive Analysis - Lead market research efforts to define customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscapes. Analyze pricing strategies, customer feedback, and competitor offerings to recommend product enhancements and new features.
  • Inventory and Demand Planning - Collaborate with sales and operations teams to forecast demand, optimize inventory, and ensure product availability at all times.
  • Continuous Innovation and Customer Focus - Regularly monitor product performance and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement and innovation. Support the sales team in strategic product

Required Knowledge:

In-depth knowledge of automation technologies, machine tools, and industrial

automation trends is essential. A strong understanding of the competitive landscape

and customer needs within the automation space is required.

Required Abilities:

Must be able to develop and execute both short-term and long-term product roadmaps

aligned with company strategy and market needs. Strong financial acumen for

budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis.

Required Experience and Training:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field. A minimum

of 5 years of product management or marketing experience, ideally within automation,

industrial technologies, or machine tools. Additional experience in cross-functional

team leadership, strategic planning, and vendor management is highly preferred.

Other combinations of experience and education that meet minimum requirements

may be substituted.

Desired Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly in fast-paced or complex environments.
  • Proficient in using product management tools, data analysis software, and project management tools.
  • Experience with purchasing, market research and analysis, pricing strategies, and budget management.
  • Knowledge of automation systems, industrial processes, and machine tool technologies is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile or other product development methodologies is a plus.
  • Must be able to communicate product strategy effectively with both written and oral methods such as email, phone calls, trade shows, etc.

Salary & Benefits:

The salary for these positions ranges from $80,000 to $150,000 (including salary, bonus, and commission). Pay may vary based on individual expertise and regional factors.
